It doesn't matter. No one gender should get more sympathy than the other just because of some stereotypes. Whatever they're getting sympathy for doesn't happen to every one of their kind, and/or they don't want sympathy, PLUS it neglects the struggles of the opposite gender with the same problem, but less sympathy. It's bullshit.

I think it depends on where they live. Outside the West, in places like many African countries, there are still a lot of women who definitely have it harder than men.

In the West I would say that women arguably have it easier than men in a lot of ways these days.
