Who has it easier in life? Men or women?

I would say women because of these reasons:
1. They don't have to go and die in wars.
2. They don't have to take hard labor jobs such as coalmining, construction, engineering, furniture delivery, etc.
3. When women get depressed and have problems, there'll always be people willing to help them while men are expected to just take it all in.
4. They can cry in public and no one will judge them for it.
5. Society always gives them the benefit of the doubt while men are automatically demonized over false accusations.
6. If they leave a relationship, they can find a new one in a week while for men, it takes months or years.
7. Women get over break ups faster (see point 6.)
8. A woman who is planning to commit suicide always has emotional support (see point 3.)
9 . It's easier for women to make friends.
10. If a woman wants a promotion or a job, all she has to do is spread her legs.
11. Women can use their looks to get ahead (see point 10.)
12. Women are already labeled as important since they produce babies while men have to prove our worth.
13. Women are not expected to be strong or wealthy like men are.
14. They can act like a total b**ch to everyone and society will call it "empowering".
15. She doesn't have to carry the weight of the world on her shoulders since men are ones who are expected to be leaders.

Wow, this was a pretty long list but these are just my thoughts. What do you guys think? Which gender do you think has it easier in life and why?

You have a very narrow view of the world. You have to experience more to make judgments. We live in a mostly equal world with men being ahead. I'm gonna go point by point with you.

1. They don't have to go and die in wars.
Women are allowed to enlist now and fight. Back then all they could do is be helpless civilians or work in factories. Which would you rather be? Get bombed or at least get to fight?

2. They don't have to take hard labor jobs such as coalmining, construction, engineering, furniture delivery, etc.

They are nannies, cleaners, garbage collectors, road sweepers as well. Look around the whole world before make this job assumption. In many countries, women do hard labour too.

3. When women get depressed and have problems, there'll always be people willing to help them while men are expected to just take it all in.

Depression is a growing occurrence and there are numerous hotlines and groups to aid both genders. Men hold too much regard to their ego and reputation to get help, it's their own fault.

4. They can cry in public and no one will judge them for it.

Men can, in fact you can even argue that because we don't cry much people might even take us more seriously.

5. Society always gives them the benefit of the doubt while men are automatically demonized over false accusations.

How many times have we dismissed women's opinion for being "on their period", "overly emotional" or "being bitchy" about it.

6. If they leave a relationship, they can find a new one in a week while for men, it takes months or years.

I'm positive there are equally as much as guys who do this as well. You're probably just generalizing it to the quiet, shy, "nice" guys.

7. Women get over break ups faster (see point 6.)

I've personally known a ton of guys who just get girlfriends within a week of breaking up. We are equally as horrible.

Anyone who comes out to planning to commit suicide will get help. The world is not that cruel.

9 . It's easier for women to make friends.

Probably because boys will approach girls but girls approach guys too. It's all about body language.

10. If a woman wants a promotion or a job, all she has to do is spread her legs.

How many times have a seen a man get the job because he deemed more capable just by being a guy. Spreading her legs gets her a promotion but with less dignity (We'll all know how she got it).

This is an extremely biased opinion and it is definitely not true, you cannot express that viewpoint as facts because you have not experienced the opposite side's perspective, to put it clearly, maybe there are factors which make their live's easier, but each gender has it harder and easier in different areas e. g. Health, Socialisation, Rights. You cannot completely agree to your statement as it is not properly justified, a better way to share this topic would be if you shared it as a juxtaposition and if you relate different areas of life against each other to prove who has it easier in different circumstances. I personally believe that women have it harder in life but that is an opinion, my opinion, you should have made it more clear that it is an opinion whereas you displayed it as facts, which they are not. I think I have wasted enough of my time on this petty viewpoint, that's all I have to say on this matter.

To be honest I don't really know because I don't have someone in a similar position to me, eg. a brother, that I could compare with. I also think there are far too many variables like personality, looks, wealth other things that are really more important when deciding "who's got it better". But I'll give my two sense on what you wrote
1. You don't either, at least here in Australia conscription ended after Vietnam. Men are more likely to join the army but that is their choice.
2. Again, you don't have to. Construction workers and engineers make good money I wouldn't shirk at that. Men can be more practical in these positions but they're not the only one's doing it, and are they really that bad?
3. I feel like this is an issue, BUT, people will try to console women to an extent, but after a while no one really gives a shit. If you've got good friends they should help out, if it's a big issue, see a therapist.

5. Sometimes. You see at least an alarmingly even split in situations in which the assumed victim is blamed. It really depends on the situation.
6. Hahahahaha, I wish. All the girls I know, including myself have been single for over a year. The men on the other hand, seem not to be single for less than six months

15. Again, I think the world is changing. I think we as people are increasingly forced to lead, even if we don't feel up to it. I find the idea of "the world on their shoulders" kind of funny since I always saw women as the upholders (even behind closed doors) of sociality.

You think being a woman is easy? You think that being on your period and your stomach hurting you as fuck for a week every damn month of the year is easy? It always depends on the person. For your third point I'd like to say that it always depends on families and friends not on gender. Guys can cry in public too. I would never judge someone to crying in public just because he's a guy, that's some sexist sh*t trust me it's not easy for girls to leave a relationship. It depends on the person. It's NOT easy for women to make friends. Personally, I'm in high school, and I have to admit, that you are freaking lucky if you find a girl friend that's not going to judge you behind your back. About point 10... No dude. Firstly, you think it's not the same for guys? Think about it! And also I would never, EVER do that just because other people find it easier this way. For point 11, if they try it's easy for men as well. For point 12 trust me it's fucking difficult to carry a baby because you guys are always only responsible for yourself while when a woman is pregnant she has to be really careful because it's going to affect the baby too. For point 13 well think about those women that because of that reason they might be raped. For point 14 no no no no no. No. They won't. Maybe some people are going to act as if they're their friends but they won't really be and that's even worse. And for point 15 I think that it's not always men that are expected to be leaders

I think it depends on what country you're born into and family you're born into and your circumstances not your gender in general.
A rich privileged person is going to have it a lot better in life than someone who has to live on the bread line. its not as easy as men have it better or women do.

You forgot about the extra college scholarships just for women, far more shelters for them, much less punishment legally for the exact same things, easier to get hired.
By men having more physical demands at work, they are more likely to have back and knee problems when they get older and be in CONSTANT pain, not just a few days each month.
Men also have much more stress because even if a woman makes more money, the man is still expected to be the provider.
Men are expected to work more hours than their SO, so they get much less time with their kids, don't get to go to school or other important events in their kids' lives and then the kids don't open up to them because they don't feel as close because they don't get to spend much time together.
Women want help with housework, but do they go outside, fix the car, wash and wax it, trim the trees, change wall sockets, service the air conditioner/cooler, change the car's oil, mow the lawn, repaint the house, and stuff like that?
