We're not talking about Israel which is a country. We're talking about Jews in general.
+1 yI don’t think this is a accurate statement at all. There are a LOT of anti-semites on the left and for a far larger part of the spectrum. Just turn on the news since October and you cannot avoid seeing it.
On the right, one must be attentive to the fact that the “right” is poorly defined. For simplicity the right, we can mostly all agree on, includes the breadth of the Republican Party and goes all the way out to the Tea Party (if there even is such a thing anymore) and the more pure Constitutionalists.
The “right” (Republicans) tend to be very law & order, against racism, support legal
Immigration, and big on individual freedoms. They support a strong military but limited government intervention in the daily lives of Americans, leaving the states to rule their own states as the voters see fit. They support the idea of freedom of speech pretty openly. Think Ronald Regan, George Bush Sr., or Teddy Roosevelt.
This group of people are faithfully and passionately supportive of Israel, Jews, and in the case of Teddy, loudly and passionately argued for a Jewish homeland long before Israel even existed.
Much further “right” of that is what the media often calls the “far right” but, when you get into the issues, are not very right at all, as it aligns with the groups I named above.
The “Far right” tend to be quite racist, strongly wish to structure society around strict and unfair rules which prevent immigrants from entering the country at all and some as extreme as racial segregation. A mixed race couple like mine wouldn’t be safe here. There is often an open hostility to all government, especially at the federal and state level, and an outright resistance to law & order. Free speech is only good on their terms and they have no compunction with using violence to stifle conflicting opinions.
This group (oddly, since they are called ‘far right’) align with the left more since they both see the State of Israel as evil, decry the idea of Zionism, and actively seek to disrupt Jewish community and often times express outright hostility up to and including violence. There have been several active shooter events of Jewish synagogues or schools and the shooters have ALWAYS been left or “far right”. Never Republican, or Constitutionalist “rights”.
It’s confusing but true.32 Reply
Asker+1 yI don't support Israel and I don't think anti zionism is anti semitism. by the way i'm Jewish myself.

We’re each entitled our own opinion. Zionism, or the belief of a Jewish homeland, is a passionate debate. I, on the other hand, support a Jewish homeland. I am not Jewish. What a peculiar world we live in that we see this differently.

+1 y@Lliam Except I linked sources that don't come from me they are from the UN lol so does the UN have no credibility? It must be truly frustrating to have zero evidence to back up your lies. I can't imagine the struggles you are going through having to move the goalposts and lie to try and dismiss the factual evidence that you are supporting the rape, sodomy, mutilation and brutal murder of LGBT people and women. I mean that is truly a rough hill to die on lol. I digress though. Reality is the people that are truly antisemitic are liberals. As evidenced by people like lliam who genuinely supports what he supports and does so proudly to the point he has no evidence to back up his claims and instead runs to the block button because he has no proof when confronted with the facts of what Palestine is as a country

I think a lot of people are sick of Jews playing the antisemitism card as if they are oppressed.

Asker+1 yI'm not talking about Israel, anti zionism isn't anti-semitism. I'm talking about Nazi's walking around chanting shit like Jews will not replace us, telling all Jewish people their home is in Israel even when they have no ties to Israel, putting up flyers about Jews, conflating everything with George Soros and that Jews love money and are greedy and dishonest. I've seen that happen a lot.
by the way, i'm actually in support of Palestine as an American Jew- +1 y
You and I would have no problems. Some of my best friends ever and people I respected most highly were Jewish.
I just haven't seen antisemitism, personally, in recent decades. I'm anti-Zionist and anti-Israel though and know a lot of other people, including Jews, who feel the same way.
As far as vocal bigots are concerned, they suck. Nazi lovers are idiots. - +1 y
Informed people aren't supporting Palestine. How do I know? Simple I direct your attention to one of the current hashtags "#gaysforpalestine" Palestine kills gay people... via stoning... you know the whole tie them to a post and people throw rocks at them... yeah really Informed lol.
- +1 y
Lol spoken like an "informed" person. Thank you for proving my point. Palestine has killed far more women and children than Israel has find another argument. I know for a fact most Muslims are not taliban find some other retarded shit to spew. Also fact is Palestine hates gay people moron there is even numerous interviews with Palestinian people regarding things like the gays for Palestine. Keep staying informed bud

And this gay man was seeking asylum in guess what country... Israel. Well too bad Palestine got to him first. Guess what they did to him... the cut his head off and left his headless body in the streets as a warning.

+1 yThat's not the average American right wing; that's right wing extremists all over the world, and disturbingly large portion of the left.
But to answer your question; it's because there's an unfortunate pattern that a lot of powerful people who have done a lot of damage to society, also just so happen to be of Jewish (usually German-Jewish, more specifically) descent.
10 Reply 5.8K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. The left (broadly) is FAR more anti-semitic and it's not even remotely close. The party will kiss the ass of its (ethnic but secular) Jewish donors, but pretty openly hates especially Orthodox Jews.
20 Reply26.4K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I never got that impression. I grew up with a lot of Jewish people. A lot of my friends are political conservatives and I really never heard and anti sematic sentiment. I cannot say the same for middle easterners.

00 Reply Weird question being as Trump supporters call Israel "our greatest alliance" while liberals are full on Hamas supporters. That being said I'm a Conservative Christian die hard antisemite. Why am I so antisemitic? Have you been paying any attention? They are literally the cause of all of the world's ills.
Asker+1 yUh, no. And i'm not talking about Israel. I'm talking about Jews who live in other countries. Jews are not the cause of all the worlds ills, the ultra wealthy are. Why would you ever blame a collective of people on what a small number of people do? Are you a nazi?
Asker+1 yListen I am ethnically Jewish, while my faith is Orthodox Christianity. I am poor, I don't control anything nor do I wish to, and my family as well. We just live our lives and we live in the U. S. Never been to Israel and personally I don't want to go there. I'm anti-zionism, which doesn't equate to anti-semitism. I don't support Israel at all, not because of religion or any of that stuff, but because they're bombing civilians and occupying them. It's a far right gov in charge and I don't agree with it. I also don't agree to hate anyone due to their race, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexuality, etc... I'm a live and let live person. So your whole generalization of Jews is wrong.

+1 yWhat's wrong with criticising Jews which are deserving of criticism as all peoples are, surely?
Asker+1 yCriticizing a group as a who and not individuals is not okay. It's the same as racism, xenophobia, homophobia, etc. If you were to criticize individuals for their own actions then that's completely different.
- +1 y
Then surely if this was the case then we would not collectivize whites and their countries as "institutionally racist" despite these countries being far less racist than others across the globe but yet here we are.
Asker+1 yGov can be racist, people as a whole shouldn't be counted as a collective. Not all Jews are in support of Israel, not all Jews are rich or work in entertainment or banking, not all Jews look the same, etc... You can't think of people as a collective because it's simply not true.
- +1 y
But that's a very logic bending way for you to collectively lump whites all together as racist whilst distancing yourself from "Well I am technically not saying whites are racist just their governments" and whilst you do this, you are complaining about the fact Jews collectively are held to account for the actions of the Israeli government and Jews who work in finance. You can't exactly have your cake and eat it at the same time.
Asker+1 yDude I am a white Jew, I don't blame white people as a collective. Collective punishment and racism is the very definition of wrong. Why would you blame a bunch of people for the crimes of one? That's ridiculous on so many levels.
- +1 y
I know for sure when it comes to criticism of whites you take your identity as Jew to protect you from that criticism then criticize whites as a "fellow white" besides Jews practice colonialism in the present day by taking over Palestine yet my people are still held in contempt for colonialism which we no longer take part in. There is not much use in being an adamant anti-colonialist if we turn a blind eye to it in the present day.
Asker+1 yI'm not talking about Israel. I don't support Israel at all, they're a terrible right wing country, it's not all Jews. Jews don't belong to Israel. I don't blame white people, i'm European, I was born in Europe and I think of Europeans as my own people. Your hatred of all Jews is unfounded.
Anonymous(25-29)+1 yYou just need to compare their percentage in general population and their presence in law, media and academia. I assure you it's not their smartness but Jewish nepotism.

Asker+1 yI'm not talking about Israel. There are Jews living in other countries, that's what i'm talking about. Jews do not equal Israel and supporting Israel has nothing to with anti-semitism
- +1 y
I would say anyone who supports human life is pro-israel given the fact that Palestine beheada gay people, and has astounding levels of violence against women. I mean yikes I wouldn't want to support a country that does that
Asker+1 y@JacobJordan And Israel bombs civilians. There are over 30k Palestinians dead, including women, children, and the elderly. But that's the fault of Israel's gov, which i'm not talking about. I'm talking about Jewish people in general, not Israel. Many Jews don't live in Israel and have nothing to do with Israel. Israel is irrelevant in this question.
- +1 y
Quite true and Palestine has killed far more women and children than Israel. I was merely pointing out that factually it is the liberals that are antisemitic. But they are doing their standard thing of manipulating the truth by omitting certain things others have said to make it appear different. Here as an example of a liberal question I saw recently (near as I can remember) "why do Christians have such an issue with migrants?" On the surface this question seems quite problematic. Until one remembers that Christians like many non religious people non right wing people (I am not religious or right wing) are against ILLEGAL immigrants. We have no issue with legal immigration. What is really bizarre is if one looks at the statistics is about even in antisemitism between Republicans and democrats. With Republicans leading certain antisemitic behaviors and democrats leading others. For example democrats lead antisemitic statements that deny the facts of the holocaust, they are more likely to call Jewish people that support Israel antisemitic, in addition liberal Jewish people are more likely to ignore the antisemitism they face unless it comes from a Republican.
