Well I'd say it's important to caveat this with "both sides have extremes I find frightening to democracy.

Democrats are typically better on the environmental issues, other the AOC-level idiots that are like "all planes must be solar in 3 years".

Democrats used to be less in favor of military intervention all over the world on shite that isn't our problem.

Animal rights are typically supported by Democrats better.

For Republicans:

They economy tends to benefit me more... my money goes further.

2A is huge for me.

My taxes have been lower under every republican president except Bush Sr.
