Guys, Rich, but anonymous or poorer, but well-known?

Would you like to be one of those people who look questionable, from a low-class background, but have a lot of money and assets from God knows where while they are unwilling to be famous because their frauds will be exposed. Or would you rather earn a somewhat decent living, but to be a respectable member of your community as a social activist, as a politician, or a writer, for instance?

"... Respectable member of society like... a politician..." my man. Whatever you're on I want some of it.

Between fame and poor and anonymous and rich its easily anonymous for me. I view fame as a negative so not particularly hard of a choice.
As for doing something bad, depends on what. Not going to break my own sense of right and wrong.
