Why do you have to be gentle with girls?

In my gym class there is only one girl. Well my teacher is always saying be careful not to hurt her. And to not be rough with her. And in my drama class after we do games the teachers says he is glad that we didn't hurt or were rough with girls. But yet you always see girls playing rugby and rough games but yet us guys can't be rough with them! Why is that?

Additionally to what the girls have said, there's also tradition. Traditionally women are seen as fragile and nonviolent. You don't hit them and you aren't rough with them, because it's always been that way. Society is getting more and more away from that, but it is still true that men have more strength than women.

Men on average are 15% heavier than women,40% - 50% stronger and 6 inches taller. Particulary ourshoulder and chest area which often comes to play in sports rugby, is more massive compared to theirs. Our bones,tendons and ligaments are more denser stronger. Additonally we have thicker skin and more body hair, which all makes us less likley to get injured.

it's because you should be careful not to hurt them physically and emotionally, because they might not be able to take it as well as guys. unless they are pirates

Girls are not as physically strong as guys are. Less muscle mass and more fat, generally speaking. Also handling a girl really roughly could be seen as assault on her end, which could be very bad for you.

That being said, I have 4 brothers and all of us were always fighting with each other. 90% of the time it ended in a fist fight or somebody throwing something. It was usually over something stupid like "why the f*** did you get a bigger piece of cake than me?" So I've been toughened up LOL!

Well usually they don't play rugby with guys, but with other girls. The point is that the majority of men have way more strenght than the majority of women.This might not always be true for high school, but most of the time it is. So when it comes to sports like rugby, wrestling or football, you shouldn't treat a girl like a guy.

Guys are supposed to have respect for girls. They will become someone’s future wife and mother someday. Guys are usually stronger and don’t know their own strength when it comes to roughhousing and could easily hurt girls.
