Simple, because the media is liberal and supports the Democrats, so their usual story when Dems are in power is a positive one, with whatever info they can put together.

For example, the Dems and the media emphasize that inflation is down. Well, it is, because prices have increased so much over the last 4 years... some things cost twice as much as before... and that's with shrinkflation.

Well, that is also correct, because unemployment only counts those people looking for work, and so many people stopped doing that due to COVID and increased government subsidies. Why try to find a job when you can make just as much money sitting at home?

This is fairly obvious you can't add nearly 10 million people to the economy and not see large 'employment' gains and further inflation with as much additional demand upon the costs of living.
If only 2.9 of them managed to secure jobs the remaining 3.1 to 7.1 million must be working off the books or not working at all.
