Liberals supporting the contemporary thing to support and aid to Ukraine trend is current one and "hey did u guys know I support the current thing?" And those conservatives are such war mongers and back the federal reserve Iraq and Afghanistan all that but did u know Russia is a big threat and we gotta back Ukraine with federal reserve aid and Vietnam and world war 2 all that conservatives but wait NATO and Democrats did that but I'm a liberal and I know everything im such a smart Guy and did you know that I support the current thing

Liberals (Truman, FDR, Kennedy) have evolved into Leftists. They hate the USA (except what they want it to be). They hate common citizens from "Flyover Country". They want the USA, as it has been for most of 250 years to be dismantled and turned into a Fascist Oligarchy of "experts". They have no future vision for the country except decline. Ask one what he or she wants the country to be like in in 20 years and they cannot give a rational answer other than emotional one. They are guilty about the nation's prosperity and want to give it away to "the needy". They want to evade any responsibility for any behavior and believe people should all have equal outcomes in their lives.

The good thing is that they believe in NOTHING. Even Global Warming will evaporate when their I-Phones stop working. As a result, when the inevitable uprising of traditionalists takes place, they will be defenseless; thinking "government" will protect them and provide for them. It won't because it can't. A few of Biden's F-16's and M-16's will be totally ineffective against 400 million privately owned firearms in the hands of angry Patriots (and they are angry). As will the timid, defunded law enforcement who are actually traditionalist common citizens and would never turn their Glocks on their neighbors.

Whether Trump wins or loses, trouble is ahead. Russia, China, Iran and North Korea are watching. In the end, Leftists may be the mast chapter in the American Empire. And if Traditionalists fail to preserve it, a century of worldwide Dark Ages, Tribal war and Feudalism will follow,

Survivors will live in interesting times.

No, that is not how any of that works. First of all, it is the Republicans who are the party of "supporting the current thing". They never have any actual position on and subject until they are told which they should have.

Secondly, the reason liberals are in support of Ukraine is because Ukraine is being attacked. Liberals have never been against the right for self defense for starters and the fact that this is HEAVILY connected with USAs position as a super power, and as such basically requires a response to protect Ukraine only makes you an idiot if you ignore the situation.

And yes, I know this because I am actually fairly educated on these subjects and I educate myself specifically because I, unlike you, actually care. You do not care and therefore you never learn.

Actually I know you for a fact are against self defense. I very much so recall a conversation regarding home invasion where you stated its "preferable" someone gets beat to near death and their stuff stolen over the loss of a worthless burglar life

@disgustingweebtrash Incorrect. I was never against the idea of fighting back, if required. I was arguing if and when you are actually required in the first place.

For example, lets say you see a guy charging at you shouting that they are going to kill you.. but they are like on the other side of a football field. The obvious response to such a situation is not to shout back and meet them halfway just to engage in "self defense", that is stupid. In a situation like that you should just run away.

Likewise, if someone came up and slapped you straight in the face the obvious answer is not to unholster your 9mm pistol and dump 5 magazines into them in "self defense". There are a lot of extenuating circumstances that comes along with self defense between individuals in a real world setting, especially if you care about what is actually safest for yourself.

For example, getting beat up is rarely actually dangerous. Its going to hurt, its going to suck to recover from, but you will most likely live without any negative consequences so if you want to have a slugging match with someone that is one thing. The moment you bring a knife or a gun into the equation however.. well the calculations change dramatically. No longer is it a case of spending a few hours in a hospital, now one of you are probably not leaving this fight alive and even if its you with the weapon your odds are actually now lower than before.

In other words, because you brought a "self defense" weapon into the equation you now lowered your own chances by changing the stakes in the fight. It is counter productive for every aspect of what "self defense" should actually be.

In regards to countries however, things are a bit different. For example, countries can't run away and Russia already intends to "kill" Ukraine so there are no worries about making the situation worse in that regards.

But again, you should already knew these things if you had a principled position on the matter and a genuine interest in understanding the topic. You dont. Someone told you what to think and you just held on to that feeling.

They also seem to routinely and conveniently forget which party supported the Confederacy (Democrats) and which supported the Union (GOP) during the Civil War along with which party (Democrats) opposed civil rights legislation in the 60s.
