I wish I was born in USA!.. like back in the 90s
Nah I won the lottery :) It would be difficult for me to think of a better country to be born in and I was born in 1990 so I experienced the 90s. I thought about being born like in Korea or Japan but I think those cultures are amazing from the outside but if you're born into it, it's not necessarily great. The social and societal expectations and the expectations from your own family, the shaming if you don't conform to what's expected of you things like that. It could make me very miserable. There are positive things about other cultures that we don't have here. Like more of a spirit of doing things together, helping each other, sharing, community. In Switzerland it's more focused on having your own shit together, being reliable, being independent and then the social aspect comes after. It's a bonus when you've finished all your work it's not built into everyday life as much. But even so I think I'm glad I live here and get to experience other cultures and travel and I can still move somewhere if I find the right place.
But I'm glad I have Switzerland as my safe haven that I can always come back to.

I often think about moving but to where? I used to dream of Canada. But what has happened politically in the past few years I don't believe it's for me. I don't believe Canadians value freedom of speech and the country seems to have become excessively woke and authoritarian of late. Maybe somewhere remote in Canada where I wouldn't have to deal with people, and could ride out the impending next engineered global conflict!
I was born in China so I was born in another country. Do I feel good about it? I came to Canada at a very young age so China was never actually a part of my life. My family speaks Chinese and I have Chinese friends but I think my faith shaped my identity more than my race or culture.

No.
I've moved around a lot (within the US). One thing I've learned is that you can never know what it's like to live someplace else unless you've actually lived there for at least a year or two.I've learned to stick with what I know I like, and not gamble on a place I don't truly know if I'll like it or not. The odds are in my favor that way.
Born and raised in Canada and I'm grateful every day that both sets of grandparents made the move here with nothing but the clothes on their backs
