“If this election isn’t won, I’m not sure that you’ll ever have another election in this country.”
Last election he and his team were spreading lies about him actually winning, that the Democrats cheated. It was proven that any cheating by the Democrats was insignificant, and that there was plenty by the Republicans. Trump is just starting to put out his lies earlier this time.
It’s a fairly stupid thing to say in a democracy, as everyone knows there will be other elections. Unless of course, it’s a subtle threat that if he is not elected he will seek power by other more direct means.
Pretty sure he man's if republicans lose another election they will not win the presidency for years to come. Meaning the democrats will continue to be in power and continue to push insane laws and things that will inevitably cause hatred and frustration instead of unity and people will start moving out of the country in droves in protest either that or a major civil war will Insue. Maybe both
@SolitarySolace but the idea of democracy is that it prevents insane laws going through or greatly reduces their original intent.
Yet insane laws are still being passed
@SolitarySolace you don't take him at his word?
You do? 🤣

He knows Gramps can't win. Look at the poles. So he infers that a loss is another fraudulent stolen election like 2020.
You have to read between the lines with Trump. I think he means there will "never" be another trustworthy election. He may be right.
A stolen election may result in Civil War. That may end in Balkanization of the USA into a stump USA (the Bible Belt and the non-coastal West) and a People's Republic Of America; the Coasts and Democrat Midwest states.
I think the American Empire is over. We are 250 years old, like other empires that faded away.
We will have plenty of elections, just like Russia does. They won't necessarily matter but really that is likely already the case.
Trump cannot change this fact as president, that requires State legislators and courts demanding honest verifiable elections.
The question is really only whether or not trump can get a large enough majority to overcome it. If they keep making election fraud easier in the name of "making voting easier" if its not already too late it will soon enough be.
I would imagine that would be the case. Time magazine was not shy in admitting that there was a shadow campaign to "save the [2020] election." If there was one back then, there will definitely be one now.
The question is, what kind of lack of elections is he talking about? Is it in a manner of the government choosing the next leader so that there will never be another populist candidate like Trump ever again or will it be like North Korea where the state-preferred candidate always win the majority of the votes?
I don't want to find out because neither are good options.
If Trump wins, he'll make sure that there won't be another actual, fair election for decades. Just like his hero and man crush did in Russia.
Don't believe me? Trump said so himself as an innocent 'joke'. Oh, and please don't read about Project 2025 a. k. a. Presidential Transition Project.
Thankfully, the donald is incredibly stupid and incompetent. If he actually wants to turn the US into a dictatorship, it'll be just another one of his countless failures in life.
No. But after losing two elections I don't know what the Repulican party will do. Because the base is with Trump. And I don't know how the Republican leadership will be able to dump Trump at that point. Trump becomes a BOMB at that point. And in my humble opinion this is what the Republican party has always been better than the democratic party with. Consolidating power! The Republicans usually come together for the greater good while the democrats stick to thier guns, remain fractured and lose.
Trump becomes the ultimate divider if he can't win and won't leave, yet the base wants to vote for him. You might actually see a point where the democrats and Republicans actually join forces to rid themselves of Trump.
Then how does the Republican react. ... it'll be interesting to say the least.
Then how does the Republican BASE* react.
Is what I meant to say.
I've said for a while now that they Republican voters and the Republican leadership have not been on the same team for a while now. Trump was the deal they made with the devil. He won them an election and sold thier soul. At some point they're going to have to make good on that contract.
Yes, he's kind of right.
If he loses the election, we are likely to have another civil war.
If he doesn't lose the election, then 4 years later, we are likely to have another civil war when he is called upon to once again leave office.
Either way, we have a very bad problem here. The problem is called Trump.
Damn right.
We are very lucky that the insurrection at the capitol on January 6th didn't turn into a firefight between his cultists and police or national guard. Before you tell me that is cultists weren't armed. Please reflect on the fact that just because you can't see their weapons doesn't mean they don't have concealed ones. I am sure the number of people actually carrying weapons that were concealed in that incident was not zero. The only reason that we did not have a major armed incident is because the capital police were smart enough to not start trouble or oppose the insurrectionists in any way.
In a new civil war situation which I think is going to happen. Eventually nobody is going to withhold weapons and we are going to have a very very serious incident. I don't want to be present when this happens.
Pretty much yeah. If the democrats win the upcoming election thats a pretty big indication that there will not be another republican president for years and with democrats running things for years to come this country will develop into chaos, frustration and hatred for one another. People might actually start leaving the US for other countries because the US will no longer be a nation of unity but a nation of tyrants.
Go for it. That won't affect those who know the country will prosper with Trump for the last 4 years of his presidency.
@SolitarySolace Oh yes, how did the country and the world benefited from Trump's first term. I mean... by 2020, every American was a millionaire, people were getting along and america was once again seen as a great mighty nation with a genius of a president. All of that happened.
@SolitarySolace I would recommend anyone who can leave the US should do so. It's a shit show and it's not getting better. Arguably the decline will be more rapid under a Trump presidency, but it won't change the direction things are going.
Yes, between the crooked DOJ and all the illegal aliens being allowed to vote there will never be another hosest election.
@msc545 No, but a rigged election where 10million people who do not legally have the right to vote are imported into the country and given unsolicited mail in ballots that once they are in the drop boxes cannot be traces so that democrats can say there is no vvidence of voter fraud is a rigged election.
@msc545 You will see another movie about the theft of a presidential election and it will have actual video of unidentified people putting multiple ballots in a ballot box. Democrats will tell you tha tyou did not see what you think you saw and you will just nod in the comfort of your little bubble.
Yes, if you live in Backwards World.
President Trump 🎉
