I did about 10 years of martial arts training and sparring. I currently strength train and keep up my conditioning by punching walls and doing iron body. I only train those two specifics twice a week though, there's too much opportunity cost to train every single day though so it just makes you a little stronger.

However, I am a pacifist. And will only fight at the very last resort.

Plus, those shit bags often carry knives or gang up on you 5 to one. So I just try and avoid anything where I can. Most people are fucking insane these days.

Yes, I’ve studied several martial arts over the years and even taught for a while in the military. I had a few buddies who were amateur and pro fighters and I could have done that had I wanted to get punched in the face for a living and dealing with the occasional fractured hand from a fight or concussion rather than, you know, going to college and having a career.

One of my buddies has three black belts, competed in Japan, fought on tv, and now is a—wait for it—firefighter.

As good as he was, very, very few people make the really big bucks.

All that being said, I know about a hundred ways to break your limbs and I’ve choked grown men out before in training, and these were guys who knew what they were doing.

Not well. I've spent my life avoiding violence, and I'm quite good at that. I COULD hold my own against an assailant who wasn't tremendously strong or skilled- briefly- but it'd be with the goal of escaping, not flattening them.
