Living vicariously through your children, or treating your child as competition to the parent of the their gender. Like those moms who compare their sons to their husbands, or insult their daughters appearance to make themselves feel better. Or those dads who force their sons to play sports, or act like their daughter is betraying them by wanting a boyfriend.
It's weird and it's unnatural and it's harmful to everyone involved, especially the kids. It can't be intentionally harmful though, there's no way someone would hurt their kid they love on purpose. So there's got to be some psychological problem behind it.
For the record I don't think being trans or gay should be considered a mental illness, since they both already were for a while and it didn't help...
Liberalism.

I was going to say gender confusion but now know thatâs already listed as a mental illness
Gender dysphoria
Being competitive with your child. Being overly protective of your child and getting jealous when they start dating (like those âboy momsâ).

@JacobJordan How often is it evaluated?
Whether or not someone committing murder or assault has a mental disorder? All the time. One of the first things an officer does upon taking in a suspect is try and determine there mental state and whether they are mentally cognizant. Depending on their findings they may call in a mental health professional to get a more accurate baseline. The mental stability or potential lack there of is integral to having the person charged or not charged
@JacobJordan No, those that committed those crimes. seems to me they're just tossed into a cell for their eternity.
Depends on the individual and the circumstances. A lot of the people who do those things mentally cognizant enough to stand trial. Even if they suffer some form of pyschopathy
