Not really. Most situations in life don't call for someone to use all of their ability. Let's put it this way, say you're an Olympic level power lifter. To you it feels great to win the world's strongest man competition or whatever because it is a challenge. One day you're in a grocery store and a short woman with a nice disposition asks you if you can reach the jar of olives on the top shelf. Do you think to yourself, but that jar of olives is too light for me. I can pick up much heavier objects, why is she asking me of all people to pick up that jar of olives? Clearly I should be picking up the entire shelf of groceries and spinning it over my head. If she wants someone to pick up a jar of olives, she should ask someone much weaker than me... If you're not crazy, you're going to be like sure I can give you a hand. Then she says thank you sir you're the best and you say no problem, you have a beautiful smile and life moves forward. Just because you can turn up the power, doesn't mean you need to all the time. People are able to operate at different levels of ability up to their maximum power. Most days you operate at a lower level, because there is no call for your extraordinary ability.

I feel like an alien visiting this backward planet and the humanlings and Earthoids have a really hard time trying to understand me, even when I'm speaking to them on their sub-par level.
This reminds me of this scene from Rick and Morty:
"Am I evil?"
"Worse, you're smart. When you know nothing matters, the universe is yours. And I never met a universe that was into it"
But regardless, I've never felt 'out of place' per se, but I've been incredibly frustrated by society. There are so many social structures and generational issues that people blindly contribute to, as they complain about their effects. The stupid paranoia that keeps looping - Y2K, 2012, the eclipse - where people make a ridiculous world-ending theory and everyone buys into it. The get rich quick scams, gender wars, political disputes, our acceptance of AI even though we know it'll damage the world... god, do people not realise we're all living in one long cycle? That nothing we do at this point in time even matters? That it's all been done before, and will of course happen again, because we're doing jack shit to stop it?
Maybe having a high IQ is just a route to unhappiness.
It makes me feel frustrated or hopeless sometimes.
I donβt feel that I am smart enough for so many people to be dumber than I am.
Today I saw over 100 people making stupid conspiracy theories about a video of betta fish mating with ominous music in the background.
How do over 100 people think common fish doing the nasty is supernatural?

I'm a left hander and while I'm very stupid, there are times I'm very smart. Ultra smart 🤓👀
