Would you rather be poor but happy or rich but sad?

I'm already poor, so I'm used to it. So why not make it so that I'm poor but happy? That would just be an improvement with no drawbacks. Though I suppose the same could be said about being rich but sad, considering that I'm sad. But I feel like the love of money is the root of all evil. I probably think there are lots of fun things I could do if I had money, but I don't really know for sure. When I was in middle school, I used to wish I had more video games and more time to play them. Now I have quite a few games in my Steam library and more time to play them, but I don't want to. So I'd rather just take the happiness.

See, the thing about money is that, after you have your needs met, what do you really need more money for? What benefit does having that money actually serve you? Relationships are the most important thing in life. I would rather be rich in relationships than monetarily rich.
