Is he right describing Americans? Would travel reduce our prejudice bigotry & narrow-mindedness? Why do Americans accept 2 weeks off a year as normal?

I have been traveling for years and he is very right. I have seen different countries and met different people. I can honestly say the most perfect example of the lack of world experience are liberals. They get all their information from the media and believe it completely. While people that travel tend to realize very rapidly that America is worse off than other countries better than some and ultimately the worst thing for America are some of the very liberal things we see now.

I agree with him 100%. That's been my experience.

I have traveled to other countries. But I also learned a lot on my job as a motor vehicle damage field adjuster/appraiser in the Los Angeles and Orange County part of So Ca. I went to every kind of neighborhood and met so many nationalities, including business owners, and was introduced to a lot of cultures. People were so cool. My mind opened a lot.

You Europeans brag about being "well traveled" but you forget that America as a country is bigger than your entire continent.

I have been from one side of the country to the other. I have arguably traveled more distance than many, many Europeans.

And yeah I do have a passport and I am going on a trip to Germany this year. But even if I didn't I would still probably more well traveled than most Europeans.

I feel bad for Americans who just stay in one area their entire life. A lot of Europeans will end up doing something similar as well.

America is huge, bigger than Europe. Plenty of culture to explore.

Also Americans are much more comfortable with traveling large distances for regular tasks. Try talking to European about driving two or three hours, it will blow their mind.

At one time, for sure. The citizens who gave in to capitalism and industrialization were the ones who set the ball rolling. Before that, anyone could acquire land and raise crops or livestock and didn’t have to rely on banks or “job creators” one bit. They stole fathers from the homestead and eventually forced women into menial jobs and told them it was “liberation”. Ell oh ell! Most of us are economic slaves now, whether we like it or not.

America is such a big country and has so many different experiences that I could spend the rest of my life exploring what this country has to offer. The thought of visiting the middle east or Russia and even some european countries does nothing for me.

I have traveled extensively and have enjoyed doing so, but I don't feel anywhere I have been is "better" than the U. S. Yes, you can learn a lot but many could learn from us as well.
