+1 yThey're not pro-Hamas, they're anti-Israel. And even that's probably overstating it; they're anti-whatever-their-"side"-has-told-them-to-oppose.
When Nazi Germany signed an alliance with Imperial Japan, it was a pack of crazy Germanic supremacists and a pack of crazy Japanese (but not Ainu; Heaven forfend!) supremacists; looking back, it seems insane, but at least they both had "we are the only humans worthy of surviving by dint of our genetic superiority" in common. (It pleases me to think that even at the time, my country probably had a few people who were ethnically both German AND Japanese, though this pleasure is undercut by the fact that there probably would've been a struggle over which kind of internment camp to send them to).
"LGBTQ for Hamas" is like "cows for cheeseburgers", except there's probably some level of moral satisfaction in helping another life sustain itself. I guess it's more like "blacks for the KKK".

+1 ySome of them may be oblivious, but certainly not all.
Hereâs the thing: you donât have to get along with someone in order to empathize with them. If you lack empathy for people just because you donât like them, youâre borderline sociopathic. No joke. Empathy is a trait lesser animals exhibit, even for other species that might otherwise prey on them. If you canât learn how to do that, youâre either sick or just a butthole.
The irony is that i know a lot of âChristiansâ who refuse to exercise empathy for Palestinians. It was a Christian who taught me the most shocking thing about living a life as much like Christ as possible. Empathy for the most unforgivable person you can imagine.00 Reply

00 Reply 1.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Why so? What about those two things are mutually exclusive? Not going to defend Hamas or anything, they are a terrorist organization after all. But its entirely possible to have reasons to support a group that wants to harm or kill you, especially if that group dont have any ability to actually harm you in the first place.
Saying something is mutually exclusive when they are not is intellectually dishonest. Either that or you can't actually wrap your head around why those things can coexist and I dont know which one is worse quite frankly.00 Reply478 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. In their defense I think they support the civilians in Gaza more than the origination of Hamas.
But I think a lot of leftist have this view that if one side is the âoppressed poorer sideâ is bc always justified in everything they do.
I think the George Floyd riots in 2020 were very similar.20 ReplyThat what Palestinians are doing to gays, and it even worse in the shithole Gaza itself.

Expeditious travel from the 10th floor to the 1st floor via a revolutionary elevator design called free fall. Dodgeball where the balls are slightly more solid than ours. +1 yYeah I don't think they realize they'd be to first to be killed if they lived in a place controlled by Hamas.
The only thing radical islamists hate more than jews is gay people.

+1 ythey are nothing but hyprocrite masochists if you ask me. like how the fuck can you support people who think and see your sexuality as a threat to humanity?

00 Reply6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. There are no LGBTQ people who support Hamas. The people who want it to be okay for Israel to commit genocide are just saying that to cover up opposition to Israel committing genocide.
10 Reply5.9K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Is opposing Israel the same as supporting Hamas?
Is it wrong to support independence versus brutal, racist colonial invaders?03 Reply- +1 y
You, yourself, called it an occupation. You just don't realize the brutality.
I suspect that you only became aware of Hamas after the Oct 7 media propaganda blitz that promoted fictional storied about atrocities against Israelis.
But what about 75 years of Israeli atrocities against Palestinian with the sole purpose of preventing them from gaining an independent state alongside Israel?
Yeah, yeah, Israel claims that everyone hates them and that it has a right to defend itself. Israel is always the victim. And, because of the media black out, people believe them because they only ever hear the Zionist side of the story.
It's too bad that people don't read books and learn history.
Aren't an occupied people allowed to resist their occupiers? Were the French resistance fighters during WWII wrong to resist? Were the Americans, Irish and the people of India wrong to want independence from Britain?
No matter if Palestinians try negotiation or peaceful protests, they are met with violence. So is it any surprise that their small army fights? - +1 y
I echoed your words about the occupation. I think Netanyahu is effectively trying to take over more territory in Palestine and make the possibility of two states impossible. I don't like him.
But, as i say, "the two-state solution" implies that Israel has the right to have its place and to exist too.
And that history is more complex than saying that there's a bad Israeli and a good Palestinian. Or vice versa.
Once again, I notice that these people only support the Palestinians against Israel. The thousands of Palestinians killed and locked up in camps in Syria have not given rise to any great popular movements to defend them. Nor any big popular demonstrations for the poor Uyghurs or Rohingya.
And note that the majority of Arab countries do not care about the situation of the Palestinians, in fact many of them do not like them.
+1 yyes they are insane, if they ran around with the "queers for Palestine" actually in Palestine they would be stoned to death..
But liberals and logic is not a thing that goes together anymore
