Why does the media keep citing the Hamas Palestinian death numbers?

This is our source.. the health ministry of a terrorist organization? They don't even say like "Hamas claims".. they cite it as a legit source.

3rd party organizations has become quite good at estimating and modeling the number of casualties during situations like this, mostly based from previous historical events. Even with basically no solid data we can make educated guesses, especially with things like starvation and famine or disease.

We also have inside sources, both civilian and military that fills in the gaps and makes the predictions more accurate. Like it or not, we are sort of an expert at estimating human cruelty and misery at this point.

nobody REALLY cares about civilians killed in wars. the only one they mention all the time is...

the one that fits the jew hater agenda... therefore the biias hammas numbers as if they can be trusted for accuracy... because even the so called pro palestinian do not really care about civilians killed in any war... only the one involving jews because pro-palestiine is just a camoflage for jew hater.

Who else are they going to cite? Israel, which is trying to beat them into submission? I suppose there's an artificial sense in which it's kind of refreshing that BOTH sides are going to claim higher death tolls than reality, but still...

Because those are the only numbers. Plus, the numbers are probably higher as the occupying state of Israel has banned independent journalists and UN observers from entry.

Also, no one believes Israel's account. They killed verified journalists and aid workers and tried to pass it off as an "accident".

Because there are no other numbers, and their numbers sound good against Israel.
