-ignoring half of the Holocaust victims, and pretending only Jews were affected;

-conflating "Jews" with "Israelis";

-ignoring the fact that seventy years have passed and the number of surviving Holocaust survivors can probably be counted on the fingers of two or three hands;

-taking blatant Hamas propaganda and stating it as fact; AND

-accusing Israel of crimes (possibly legitimately) which Hamas itself has been confirmed to have committed.

Yeah, this is a GREAT way to win sympathy for your cause!

You absolutely have a cause; you're opposed to Israel- and in favor of sexism, but that's beside the point. Hamas and its predecessors have been lobbing rockets and sending suicide bombers into Israel for DECADES. Are you arguing that dropping a bomb is somehow different from throwing one?

Israel has tried every milder approach; all have failed. Their only options at this point are 1. do unto the Palestinians what the Palestinians have been doing to them, in last-ditch attempt to get them to back down, or 2. genocide. They're going with option 1- for now. The people who've been chanting "Death to Israel" and calling for war are learning what "war" actually MEANS. They're finally having to play defense, and they don't like one bit. If they'd learned this lesson sixty years ago, countless lives could've been saved and pain been avoided. Hell, the World Trade Center would still be there.

There's quite a bit of sympathy for Israel, from people who don't get their news from Facebook. Students, sadly, are rarely among this group.

Do you have a better option for Israel, that they haven't tried already? I'd like to hear it. War is war; it's always a bad idea. Sometimes, it's the least bad.

There is no defeating Hamas

Exterminate the entire Gaza strip won't get rid of hamas

Do you know what the source for the newspaper article means? Articles that are not feuilletons must have respectable sources. They can base on their own sources or own findings, but then they should be documented and added as sources. And CNN in this case didn't follow the rule, so the article means nothing, if has NO sources. I also can write whatever and public somewhere... it will have the same value
