Why are the Democrats so terrified of just letting President Trump run without harassment and letting the voters decide who they want for President?

The Democrats keep saying that President Trump is a "threat to democracy," that he is the most dangerous threat to freedom in the history of the universe. Okay, so why then are they using every dirty trick in the book to try to keep him off the ballot in November from phony legal charges by corrupt Democrat operatives in courts with corrupt Democrat judges to ridiculous laws in corrupt Democrat states that tried to prevent him from even being on the ballot in their state to try to stop him from any chance of winning in November (all of which were found to be unconstitutional and overturned)

Everyone knows that none of the criminal charges against President Trump ever would have happened if he didn't announce he was running for president again. All of a sudden, after years went by after the alleged crimes, when he announced he was going to run again, these corrupt Democrats started making up all kinds of fake charges to try to tie him up so he couldn't campaign. They don't even care if he is found guilty or not, as long as it ruins his campaign. And if he is found guilty, they know it will be overturned on appeal because not one of the charges is anything close to valid. But the appeal won't happen until after the election so they can smear him before the election and get away with it.

This is what happens to opposition candidates in communist countries where the dictators use exactly these same tactics against their political rivals.

Who is the threat to democracy again?

If President Trump is so bad, why are the Democrats so terrified of him that they are undermining and corrupting the entire legal system and resorting to third world banana republic dictatorial tactics to prevent the American PEOPLE from deciding who should be the next president?

If they cared about democracy they would let the PEOPLE decide who they want for president and not be using corrupt tactics to PREVENT the people from even having an opportunity to make that choice for themselves.

The democrats were for the people. They wanted to help people that weren't rich. They were good guys.
The elections were fair and just. It was an exciting time to vote for the next President.

that's just the lie you're told by the political class. cause it is very well known in social psychology that if you make a person believe that they took part in a fair process they had a say in, it is much more likely that they comply with shit they disagree with. and from a political science standpoint that's how a democratic governent generates legitimacy. not by actually "representing" the people who voted but by making them feel like they took part even if their vote does nothing. and on top of that specially the US is having a 2 party system. from a game theory stand point, the strategy to maximize votes in a 2 party system is to have maximum policy overlap to gather the most votes. in other words in a 2 party system, the difference between the 2 parties is pretty much negligible cause they have to be close to maximize votes.

that's my opinion and there's good even scientifc reasons to have that opinion. i am however aware that a government is a necessary evil that we need to regulate life in a society... but man i think that entire shit show doesn't work for us and i really don't ever see it working for us the way it is set up.

in my opinion we would need a population level policy decision making to make what we have an "actual" democracy. not the indirect oligarchy with democratically voted representatives that we currently have.

There is no such thing as a perfect government. But it is a necessary evil because the alternative is anarchy. Noting that government is not to be trusted and becomes corrupt and a threat to liberty if not controlled by the people they govern is all the more reason why each citizen has a responsibility do their duty to vote. yes i agree there's gonna be flaws for sure but we should sure try to minimize these flaws. like i do not see a good excuse in the day and age of information technology to have the population "not" democratically deciding on policies and laws. like in fuedal times where you had to physically transfer a ballot letter by hose, i get that. i get the necessity of representatives that vote in the name of their people (which they realisticly aren't doing as is) but not in the age where basically endless information can be transferred at a blink of an eye.
