Why are Republicans so afraid of democracy, are they afraid of the non white majority telling them what to do?

You hit the nail on the head. America is undergoing rapid change demographically. It’s becoming much more racially diverse and multicultural and the urban/rural divide is widening with cities and suburbs growing in size while rural areas and small towns stagnate or lose population. It’s changing the country culturally and politically. The white power base is losing its grip. Republicans are in panic mode because they know they are in the minority and gaining power is becoming trickier. So they increasingly question the legitimacy of the vote without evidence and have embraced the idea of civil war or seizing power illegally to achieve their agenda. Think about it. The republican candidate for president has won the popular vote just once since 1988. They are the minority.

Huh? Where do you get that idea? It's liberal Democrats who are trying to tell everyone that they know what's best, regardless of what people think.

Says the one who supports a traitor who tried to overthrow a legitimate election and use violence to establish a dictatorship on Jan 6th.

I support no one who had anything to do with Jan 6. As I've said many times, I'm a middle of the road Independent. Neither party, or any if their candidates, fully satisfy me.

stop hiding behind the "I am an independent card" so called moderates go where the wind blows and when the wind is against them then they support the winning side.

I must be an outlier then. I've voted in Presidential elections 9 times, and only once did I vote for the eventual winner.

good for you, but quit making liberals out to be the enemy because when we protest you call it a riot but when you protest then it is peaceful so give me a break.

I'm not declaring anyone an enemy, just pointing out basic political ideology. Liberals believe people can't take care if themselves, and government has to do it fir them. Conservatives believe that individuals are perfectly capable of taking care of themselves, and government us there only to help.

The truth us somewhere between those extremes.
