Why are conservatives so afraid to let the majority of the people decide our leaders and not the electoral college?

Do they really think that the people are too stupid to make up their own choices of who they want or are they just afraid that they know that without the electoral college, then they would lose all influence in the Republic they claim to love.

Because they know the majority of Americans don't favor them or their policies and if that was to happen they'd never win another national election again. Why do they spend so much time trying to redraw electoral districts to stack certain districts with people they know will support them? Same reason.

Republican policies doesn't offer ish to the people and to better people's lives except to enrich the greedy more.

Because they would never win an election. In America the overwhelming majority of the country leans liberal on almost every issue except crime. If federal elections counted total popular votes conservatives would never win an election.

Because its codified into the constitition. And we ned to follow the constitution, unless of you think the constitution is no excuse for example forcing guys to pay child support.
