Of course- even if you live in a state that's definitely going to vote one way or the other for President (which I don't, any more, so that'll be a change), you also vote for members of Congress, which has notably more power than the Presidency does.

In the more local elections, yes. In the Presidential election, no. My state is very blue regardless of who I vote for president.
