My little cousin decided to steal a small necklace out the mall and I was sitting in my car waiting because I was done and she came walking fast to me & said go and i saw the guy either record or take a picture of my license plate… Im in nursing school and don’t want anything on my record so do you think they’ll just let it be a mall thing or big thing. I hope they believe me that i wasn’t helping her at all & didn’t know plus there’s cameras for proof. ( also yes she apologized but im still mad & will tell
her parents)

You drove a thief away from the location. The picture of your plate implicates you. Mind you the police will question who was behind the wheel. Without a detail of the driver it can't be proven someone else wasn't driving your car. Did they see you?


If that ever happens again tell them to get out and find another ride home.

Theft is a worldwide crime, they will most likely call police and police will contact a DMV and run the plate if cops don't have their own device to do so that is, which I think they do but if they don't they will contact a DMV to find the owner of the car, whoever owns the car will be the one they find first most likely.
