Why is sex so taboo?

All animals do it and don’t think this way, there’s no stigma or shame they just do it regardless of who is around and they don’t bat an eyelash, therefore there’s no shame or taboo about it, it’s just something they do.
And last I checked we are animals too (mammals, primates)

Why is sex/nudity illegal in public? Everyone does it (at some stage), everyone has 1 of 2 body parts and why is it seen as inappropriate/dirty/wrong? Why is such a big deal made out of something everyone does?

of course I’m speaking about conventual sex. Assault is and always will be wrong

this is not accurate...

in many species... animals will still hide to have sexual activities, especially when they're subordinates, and would want for the dominant ones not to find out and get their asses kicked or banned... would also be concerned with not being eaten by predators

also.. if you claim that something is right because animals do it naturally and without any sort of "shame or stigma" well... some animales also rape and abuse, so that is very "natural" but it doesn't mean it is right for humans to imitate or justify just because "we are animals as well"

I think we do it differently than animals... for us, the most important is pleasure, giving and taking, not only procreation...

and all those emotions involved in sex could make it... less easy to talk about it, especially since most of our parents weren't really eloquent about the topic

so, taking it all together with a different level of human sensitivity, we hide some things in public to let all people in society feel comfortable around

still, there are places where nudity is accepted or even required, and the level of acceptance differs between countries... People in Germany, have no problems with nudity in locker rooms, there are many places where you can uncover your whole body. At the same time, on the other side of the river Oder, in Poland, people cover everything, and girls showing their bodies are ashamed by older people :D

When I was young we regularly had thireesomes and sex parties. Later in life we found out there are rules. That sucked.

There are plenty of animals that eat each other alive too. Applying we are all animals to justify your logic doesn't make sense. Humans have more complex thoughts and feeling than other animals.

We are human beings with class we’re supposed to get married before we have sex and we don’t do that stuff out in public and we are not animals

Children grow up and live in society. Lots of sexual content and conversations are not exposed to children as their minds are still developing.
