Humans are the most intelligent beings so it's obvious humans are also more selectively social especially for relationships and making offspring. Covering discourages people of the opposite sex to want to have sex with you so in that way you have more chance to choose a partner wisely when you are willing, prepared and capable of keeping one. This is the reason humans have been covering for generations which is why now the main gender-specific features (broader chest, facial and body hair for men and curves for women etc) being revealed in a way that nothing is left to imagination is considered immodest and that's why people revealing too much see called hoes. You may not want to dress in a provocative way, but some people WILL be provided, it's human nature. By covering you're basically hiding the parts that are meant to attract a potential mate.
I have no problem with a person being too revealing (I said it in one of my questions), but as long as you don't believe that humans are naturally supposed to be naked and all (like some people preaching that nudity is nature and shit) they honestly know nothing. Again, you do you. But have good knowledge about what you're doing. I know I'll get a lot of hate but this is the fact honey, you can't deny nature~

Because humanity has oversexualised itself and now skin is deemed distracting or sexual.
Though skin and everything else is perfectly natural.
For most people the time that the most people that have seen them naked was when they were a baby when they were born.

Imagine how crazy it would be if everybody walked around naked? Things would get out of control.
Plus, no one should be forced to see other people naked. You have the right to "hide" your body.
Well, we live in a world of laws and decency. Some of this decency isn't written. It should be obvious that you don't mock those during a funeral or don't disrespect the teacher or other students during a lecture. That's decency. What's decency and who decides it? In short, decency is respect and consideration for others. Decency is decided by the collective whole of a society or community. Most, if not all would agree that disrespecting and distracting the teacher and students during a lecture are bad and indecent. Public nudity is indecent. It makes people uncomfortable because certain parts of the body have a different meaning for us. For some reason, genitalia is still taboo for both men and women. Especially when shown in public. It distracts people, and could have an undesired effect on children. Setting aside all of the societal reasons, basic hygiene is also a concern when being around nude people.
I don't think it is wrong. I think in certain situations it can be inappropriate in the sense that it is too informal. For example you wouldn't go to a business meeting naked. You also wouldn't go to an upscale restaurant dinner naked. However, you also wouldn't attend the business meeting in your shorts and flip-flops and you wouldn't come to the fancy restaurant in your pajama. I think in certain situations, (certain types of) clothing helps to create a particular atmosphere that might be desirable for the purpose of the occasion. For example if you're too casual, you can't really concentrate on your serious business conversation.
That being said, I don't think public nudity is wrong. Certainly not in a moral sense. In every instance where casual clothing is acceptable, nudity should be acceptable too.

It's really technically not. Mankind has made it into a big deal so much so, that it's illegal. It can be wrong because it can encourage small kids to do the same and possibly expose them to harsher injury should they fall or scratch something but clothing really doesn't do much for that anyway. It also likely comes from the story of Adam and Eve, anything based on that, and protecting from the elements. If someone were to suddenly go nude in public without proper permission which I doubt anyone could really get, it is likely breaking the law. And even if it's not agreed with, if laws are broken, there will be punishment like it or not. There still technically however, not much wrong with nakedness. It's just a human body 100% natural. Not a bug deal. No other species wears clothes. Most humans are just too afraid of even the thought of the taboo to see anything of it near them and that fear can lead to big trouble.
I’m surprised by how shallow these answers are. It’s because for thousands of years, society has deemed in indecent and abhorrent to show certain parts of the body in public. It’s also to control sexual urges, so I don’t think nudity will be any more popular in the future than it is now.
Because some people don't want to see your nasty body in the buff. So in order to save everyone the upset stomachs we put rules into place to prevent people from being scared for life. This includes hot people too. Because regardless someone doesn't want to see that. I don't care if people think you are a model I don't want to see any dicks besides my own. Plus it also can make it even better when you do get to see a hot person naked.
Simply put, people think that they're worth something. People value love. Love is half-appearance/sex, half-whatever. Love isn't worth anything if sex/the body is so easily obtained, which it would be if people didn't value themselves and if everyone was the same.
something like that i guessI think from a hygienic standpoint, the idea of writing a train or a bus or being in the same supermarket with someone who's naked and their body parts are touching stuff is not appealing.
No idea. Animals do it all the time and nobody moans at them! If you're talking about going topless, I think it's the sexism of society that stops women from showing their breasts. There's no good reason for it.
because why would you want your private sexual parts out and about they are already exploitet all over media and there are a lot of perverts in this world and that would be so wrong
We've accustomed ourselves to cover up. I personally don't mind it as long as you don't do gross shit for your own sexual fantasies. :^)
Because if good looking women walked around with no clothes on, every teenage boy would drop out of school to stare at nude women.
Because I don't want to see a 300 pound person naked.
Because I don't want to see pancake titties or dicks flapping in the breeze.
Because we don't want little sally to be traumatized by old man Jenkins balls flapping in the wind.
I think it's because it make some people being uncomfortable. I know it make me uncomfortable to see people naked.
I have felt conflict of wether or not I feel it's morally wrong or not to be naked with anyone who do feels comfortable around someone who does it, but it appears to be the case.
It isn't wrong in every place in the world.
But we aren't yet completely out of the Victorian Age.It's not, society has just deemed it to be if its natural..
if I could i'd be a nudist but it's dumb you go to jail for being naturaloh this question, i feel like whatever your answer is there still would be a why question for your answer..
public no but in my apartments yes I walk around naked in my place.. I wouldn't wanna scare the ladies!
It encourages paedophiles and rapists, in my opinion.
We're not used to it. Also, religion still runs a lot of our world. When we stop caring about that kind of stuff, we'll all be naked and proud
