Why is inflation seen as better than deflation?

Inflation makes my money worth less. Deflation makes my money worth more. It's clear which one should be better.

It depends on the source of each. If inflation is just due to government spending this is particularly bad. If moderate inflation is due to a robust economy, job creation, wage increases; than it is good and expected.

Deflation is normally a result of sectors within the economy doing poorly, laying people off, people not spending as they normally do (due to lack of discretionary income).

Actually there are good kinds of inflation that help the economy do well.

Deflation is the best choice currently since I haven’t looked into it, just sounds good.

Debt is also getting worse with deflation, everyone whos taken on a debt will never be able to repay it under deflation.

Deflation may sound good and maybe for several people it actually helps them. It is really caused by a slowing economy which eventually spirals out of control.

It’s actually sound economics to allow inflation rise with standards of living. Not sure when deflation actually occurs unless some product collapses. Lol

Sound economics by what metric? What studies are out there proving this
