Question for Republicans?

Congressman Bob Good of Virginia was chair of the GOP Freedom Caucus with a solidly conservative voting record. He supported Ron DeSantis in the primary, and Donald Trump went after Good, demanding he be primaried as a RINO. It had nothing to do with Good's view or voting record.

Good lost the GOP primary, so here is my question for Republicans: When voting for a candidate for congress or the US senate, which is more important: the candidate's views and voting record (if he's held office before) or his loyalty to Trump?

Views and voting record is more important.

Loyalty to Trump is more important.

I'm not a Republican and I don't value the same things they necessarily do such as being against abortion and whatnot. I care about who's actually going to change things and Donald Trump is the man. He has been the best president of my entire lifetime and to boot he's a moderate liberal, which is great for a classical liberal such as myself.

Also the more the deep state persecutes somebody the more I am going to support them. Anybody being attacked by the establishment is probably extremely virtuous and on the path towards vanquishing evil.

If they went back to the old ways of the republican party they'd have more interest from those outlying voters. They used to fight legitimate angles on the congress floor and go out for drinks with each other after. It was interesting and fun. Politicians don't know how to respect each other now. Not even inside their own parties. It's all so dull and lifeless.

Loyalty to the cultmaster is the only requirement for the party now. It's disgusting and why they've lost me and I doubt I'll ever go back.
