Yes and no. They are growing too slow. Which in turn means they are growing too fast. That means they are growing without the prerequisites. They should be taking on more responsibility at a much younger age. They should work, and earn money, and learn to save at a younger age. They should feel the consequences of their actions at a younger age.

Our expectations of things like formal education keep adding more and more years to reach "adulthood". Yet people grow older biologically at a younger age. The two are not in sync.

You can't expect people to mature properly when societal expectations are to go to college, maybe get an advanced degree, get married and have kids at an older age, and most importantly, take on the responsibility of adulthood at an older age.

It's a snowball effect that keeps growing on itself. 150-200 years ago a person in their early teens would be at a VERY different place in life than they are today. But they were raised very differently. We live in a very different world today. It's a world that requires more preparation to integrate.

It's a trade-off. You spend more time preparing for the world, at the cost of less time preparing for the world in other ways.

No. The opposite. People are growing up way too slow nowadays. People were having kids and getting married and dealing with family responsibilities at much earlier ages in the past. Now it's more normal for people to stay with their parents until we'll in the 30s.

Parents nowadays are overprotective and spoil their kids too, making them entitled.

It’s always been that way really. It’s just more in your face with social media and yes because of that same social media it does mean more is expected from people due to the false pressures they face from social media as well.

yes, their parents push them to get them college scholarships and to get into an ivy league college. They have sex at a very early age and they are exposed to inappropriate materials
