The Labor Party just took power in the UK for the first time in over a decade. What does this mean, from a practical standpoint?

When it comes to British politics, you can change my name from "Probably Clueless" to "Definitely Clueless." I know that the Labor Party is the left wing party of the UK, but that's about it.

Apparently the conservatives have been calling the shots for the last 14 years, or something? What happens now that the other team is in charge?

This happens when any side of the aisle is in power for too long. They start to annoy the moderates and independents who go to the other side to get away from it.

I don't know much about UK politics, but I'm going to assume this will mean a ton more immigration from developing countries and more government spending accross the board. So higher taxes and SA/crime rates. But more compassion for people and better gov services. So, it's a trade-off.

Maybe, but I think it's more about my first point of people in the middle getting annoyed about the conservative rhetoric. And most of the pop-culture is anti-conservative, so that pushes things even more to the left. But everything comes and goes. There will be a right wing pushback again one day too.

If you are considering the Labour Party the equivalent of the democrats, then you are wrong, the conservatives are closer. The main Labour Party is fairly central in the UK spectrum, however there is a left wing and far left element of the party. It will mean a removal of funding and support to Israel, a move towards a UK first policy, an increase in strengthening border force and border controls.

For the last several years I've been a little relieved that the British were just as politically dumb as us, despite their clever sounding accent. But now I can't hold on to that anymore. I'm Australian not British but 'I'd expect typical Labor politics - woke, tokenism, favoring illegal immigration etc etc politics. If you think Democrat you are probably not far off the mark.

In Australia we are currently in the process of tearing down a Labor gov't. Hopefully we'll get the job in only one three year term.

Yeah but this is inevitable for Western counties. There's genuinely nothing reasonable that will stop it. Whites will be nearly eliminated from Western countries during this century. Eastern Europe will probably survive. I'm not advocating for it, just pointing out the obvious pattern. And it's also soft genocide, so most of the disappearance of the white race will happen because of laws and policies, not from violence.

@BetaBucks The weird thing about it (to me, anyway) is that the left wing refuses to believe it's happening. The globalists have been saying that this is the direction things are headed for years, and they clearly support it, considering the policies they enact.

The demographic shift in the West is in the same category to me as global warming. It just doesn't seem to be up for debate that this IS what's happening. And then for some strange reason, the people who support this stuff also don't think that funneling all of these people in from other countries is going to fundamentally change how the country functions.

The whole thing is just odd. Like... the two-step thinking just doesn't seem to be there.

I don't think they're refusing to believe it, I think they're lying about not realizing it. They want it to happen, so part of the manipulation tactic is to deny it. Remember that all genocides were happening while the supporting population denied it was happening. Admitting it would slow down the progress.

Nothing will stop it now though. It's about looking towards the future to see what the best options are. I mean, I guess you can vote for egalitarian politicians, but those are all Republicans/right wingers now, and we all know they don't actually get anything done and can't fix anything. It just makes some people feel better, I suppose.
