At this moment it is not clear what happened.
I believe that that man simply considered that Trump should not come to power and that there is no other solution, he did not believe in the possibility that Joe would be elected by the people.

The shooter was RIGHT WING he was a registered republican. Now surely in a country filled with hate and guns security should be air tight around a political event. Yet a 20 year old manages to bypass security and take up position unnoticed. Bollocks, it's an inside job.

He wasn't right wing at all, no right winger ever donates to the democrats. But democrats had no
real primary this year which meant they tried to infiltrate the republican primaries to stop him by voting Nicky Hailey who was just a democrat playing it on the republican side. For the profile of "Stop trumps by any means neccesary" you'd expect this kind of behavior where he first attempts it peacefully in as many votes as he can get. And when doing that you'd register as republican so you have an extra vote against Trump.

Interesting how if there are 40 mass shootings and the shooters are hardcore leftist in every shooting we don't hear a peep about their politics. But if a guy "registered" as a republican years ago and then donated money to Biden, he is called "right wing".
