Is anyone else saddened by what happened to Trump?

Seeing him bloodied and being helped off the stage makes me honestly upset that this happened. What a horrible thing that happened to a previous president, politics aside.

Why wouldn’t we be? No matter your political affiliation, recognize that our country is the greatest on earth. A former president was almost killed. End of story. That is a very sad day for the country because that is not who we are. America does not resort to killing our political leaders because we don’t like them.

More disappointed than saddened. I am saddened by what happened to the guy behind him, though. It's weird that trump said it's a good thing the unthinkable didn't happen. But in fact the unthinkable did happen - just not to trump.

truly, yes. i'm still shocked. i don't care what anyone's political party is, this is just not right. anyone who says "how did they miss? !" is an awful human being in my books.

I expected it. Trump dodged at the last second. They will strengthen security now. Trump should consider private security. Government law enforcement cannot be trusted. Ask JFK's ghost.
