we had great economy despite rising national debt until obama caused extra WARS and added "millions of millions" to debt... around SEVEN trillion "nearly half of total" was ADDED during obama two terms the national debt jumped due to his negligence to 17 trillion!

trump fixed *som problems but then biden made america look weak... putin dared not attack ukraine during trump until...

biden made america not great in many ways bowing to iran and more. coincidenttly, this list of facts has an awkward coincidence...

Was is ever, really? They started out by raping and pillaging the natives, committing a genocide of their people, that's evil. Then they had literal slavery of African people, that was awful. Then they had a way against themselves killing their own, that was terrible. Then they have pervasive racism and segregation, and basically little rights for anyone who wasn't a white man, that was dreadful. That didn't fully end until the 1960s.

Then they continued to conduct wars across the globe, drafting and killing their own young men who died in vain, that was bad. Things were becoming more peaceful in the 90s, but they continued to rain terror in the middle east until a jihadist planned retaliation and did 9/11 on the country, and they responded by slaughtering children in the streets of Iraq, that was a really sad era. Then Obama promised "hope & change", but continued the wars and didn't fix our healthcare, that was disappointing. Then Trump promoted nationalist-fascism, and took women's reproductive rights away in half the country, and was really sad.

Now we are faced with a choice of a feckless old man who could care less about the people, and another round of a fascist moron, as our only choices to lead the country until another spiraling chapter.

the colonizers colonized with taxes nobody stole pillaged from personal property. read about Thanksgiving!
2, not "committing a genocide of their people," the european colonizers made ALLIANCES with the native americans. they fought BATTLES alongside some natives against other natives who refused peace treaties. battles is not a genocide.
the natives' numbers did fall by illnesses germs but not due to "hunting natives" the only real genocide was shipping train loads of jews to killing centers by germans. that's evil.
3, americans"had literal slavery"
again twisted and fake. americans bought the slaves. blame whoever SOLD the slaves whoever in africa sold them. americans would say "i paid for him" purchased from the legal owner.

As for feminism, as Kwame Ture (born Stokely Carmichael) mentioned, first-wave feminists, most affluent, treated their black and brown maids little differently from the way Southerners treated "the help" as they termed their butlers, maids, chauffeurs, etc., then at their feminist gathering, expected their aides to denounce black men, whom they termed "toxic" (as they did ALL men with no exceptions, even though black men were still regarded less than full men by their white compatriots). This caused a split in feminism as black women formed black feminist groups, most of which continued to criticize black men's growing demands to be regarded as men, with all the good and bad masculinity entails, while white feminism just got more and more misandrist (anti-man).
America's lack of interest in aiding its her poor and horrible treatment of undocumented residents (which would exponentially worsen should Mr. Trump be re-elected and Project 2025 enacted) highlights its moral failings rather that its alleged greatness.

Carter DID have bad luck but you are too young to remember that. Here's an example...
When Carter was in the Navy, he worked in nuclear engineering and, in 1977, reorganized energy research and development and organization in the US to address the Energy Crisis (which _never_ actually went away). Nuclear power was already considered an option to assist for energy independence. (This was before global warming entered the public consciousness.) But then Three Mile Island happened in March 1979 and the support for nuclear plummeted. Then there was a second gas crisis which led to long lines and gas rationing (IIRC). And then the Iranian Revolution. All of that in 1979 alone. And inflation still was not good. Carter knowingly committed suicide by appointing Paul Voelker to be the Chairman of the Federal Reserve. It was Voelker who slaughtered inflation, but that would lead to something of a recession which it did. So, Reagan reaped the benefits of recovery with inflation having finally been neutered.

Carter may not have been a great President - he wasn't an inspiring speaker like President Biden no longer is really - but he was definitely unlucky. Even presidential historians will note that. For instance, in the last Siena presidential historian poll in 2022 (they do a new poll after the first year of every new president's administration), Carter ranked 40th out of 45 in luck. Reagan ranked third in luck.

As for Obama, I don't see the problem. He inherited The Great Recession and led us to recovery.

Anyway, it is a shame that you did not live longer to appreciate anything from life before Reagan. Many people can't and, for that reason, they have a somewhat warped understanding of reality.

2, the retirement homes are guided by a system of laws and supervision.
if parents send their elderly parents to those homes the elders get good treatment due to the American system.
3, youngsters are protected from WORKING LABORS AND from hits. also child abuse is dettered in contrast to many other countries since 2000 a few more "caught up" to American trail blazing protection of children rights.
i admit, in terms of youngsters, parents can still circumcise boys but you probably don't oppose that one anyway. being lengthy i skip to MEDICARE.
