My wife and I live on 30 gorgeous acres with a great well and 2500 gallon water tank that gravity feeds down to my house, a grid-tied solar voltaic system, and propane. We have 20 fruit trees and also grow herbs and some veggies. Everything is on drip irrigation. We have a two story, steel garage but the second floor inside isn't built.
- I would secure our driveway entrance with an automatic gate, call box and cameras. - Finish and furnish the inside of our garage and the second floor. Turn the second floor into a guest house/recreation room. - Install a large freezer in the garage. - Upgrade our house. - Rebuild our pump house and solar voltaic shed out of cinder block and tile. - Install a large generator for the house that runs on propane for power outages. - Install a grid-tied solar electric power supply to my well at the bottom of the hill with an automatic propane generator back up. - Put in a lot more veggie gardens that are secure from voles and deer. - Refurbish and upgrade our drip irrigation systems. - Build a large, secure chicken run and coop for maybe 6 chickens. - Build a large, sturdy greenhouse with a water and power supply. - Finish the small pond in our back yard and stock it with fish and aquatic plants. - Build a small pool and hot tub in a separate building. - Expand the walkways and steps around the property and cover them with pavers. - Get powerful short wave and ham radios and a tall antenna tower.
My goal would be to make everything fireproof, completely secure and self sustainable in case of an emergency like the power grid going down for a long time.
I would also buy some vehicles - a good tractor/dozer with a grader and back hoe; a really good 4WD truck and trailer; a really comfortable, moderately sized travel trailer with solar power; a couple of quads; a couple of Vespa-style motor scooters; a couple of Segway scooters. No fancy sports cars but maybe a pristine, pre-1970 (pre-computerized) Cadillac or Lincoln luxury car, upgraded with modern luxuries and conveniences. Maybe a pre-computerized travel van.
Another garage in which to park those vehicles.
With all the money in the world, that's what I would do for starters.

@Guacamole409. I realize that you're joking, but we don't watch TV. We don't have a streaming service. We have a big, flat screen TV set but only use it to watch movies together. I plug my laptop into it. But we only have time for that once a week or so. Years ago, we got Netflix discs and watched a lot of movies, but things have changed.
She likes to read articles and watch pod casts on her iPad in her spare time, and I do the same on my laptop. We talk about interesting things we run across and occasionally watch a pod cast together on the TV.
First, I'd buy a house. Not a regular one, but one located inside a freezer. Florida in July will do that to you.
Then, I'd buy a supercomputer. Overheating wouldn't be too much of a concern, since I'd live in a freezer.
Then I'd get some cyber-arms, to supplement mine. Carpal tunnel wants to flare up and take my arms out of commission? Do your worst; I've got more where THOSE came from. Buying shirts would suck, but hey, I've got all the money in the world.
After that... I'd need some kind of thermal control for it, but I'd go to the extremes of the harp world. The Lyon and Healy Louis XV special, was introduced in 1916, and since then, they have sold... 3. Not three per year, THREE. Total. The last one was to an unidentified person in southeast Asia, and the company opened up a factory there, since it was easier than shipping it back to Chicago to be maintained. In fairness, they likely have other customers (of much cheaper models) there, but still.

I'd make sure I got a clear picture first (taxes, liabilities, insurances, assets, etc.). I'd then hire myself as CEO and maintain my current standard of living (not fancy). Then I'd make a plan for putting the money to work, continuing to research startups, make acquisitions during recessions, and stockpiling cash during bull markets and job creation and in-house education and promotions for employees. I would spend a lot of time learning on the job and networking. It would be a huge challenge, but it would be amazing, too.
I'd also have a charitable foundation that provided housing for families in extenuating circumstances (medical crisis, death, continuing care for the disabled, etc.) with a team to offer caregiving relief and trauma rehabilitation. The goal would be stability and consistent education for the kids and prevention of catastrophic debt incurred from secondary (non-medical) expenses. Each family would be there long enough to ensure a stable transition back to relatively normal life.
I don't really need a lot to keep me happy. I just want to leave a footprint, in a good way. :)
If I had billions I would finance a deep sea science vessel, with diving robots, laboratories, small hospital and landing pad for helos. I would call it positive type of real philanthropy that serves interest of whole mankind. Majority of super rich people are human trash like this one Indian multi billionaire who hold his servants like slaves in Switzerland
Similar to @DishLady I don't enjoy shopping. So I'd probably buy a lot of land, build a cozy home on it, get another car that can offroad, and buy some precious metals to put away for my children.

The largest military made up of Russian, Chinese and Americans. The most advanced technology from area 51. Switzerland. Elon Musk. Every satellite in orbit along with all MSM and newspapers. About 7 wives. Couple dozen cars. Then I wouldn't have to listen to no politicians. Free the world.
Private island and multiole action groups and politicians come to mind. I'd be trying to shift the world in a better direction with that level of money.
My own island with security in place to keep me protected and off limits to the public or my own castle that's fully furnished. a new pick-up, and some toys I could never afford before.
I would commission random statues to be built all over the world of me then hire other people to artificially age the statues to carbon date to different eras. Then I'd just tip off archeologists
I'd probably get a little shack on a beach somewhere on the pacific coast, buy the same vehicle I first bought when I was in High School for nostalgia sake, purchase a new Boston Whaler to go offshore fishing in the Great Lakes.
