Are... are you somehow under the impression that the PRESIDENT writes legislation, and controls what gets funded, and how much? As I've made clear several times before, I'm no fan of Biden- but he's been out of Congress for almost twenty years. There's no shortage of problems that are ACTUALLY his fault; criticize him about those.

Or just go the opposite route and blame him for the Permian extinction.

When Biden was elected he went to New Hampshire for a photo op to publicize a 1.5 trillion dollar spending package to supposedly "Build Back Better". He was standing in front of a bridge that had been condemned. That bridge is still condemned over 3 years later.

Check with your county and or city. Mine is maintained.. if there is a so much as a pothole or graffiti you take a picture, give a location ping and report through the city portal. They fill it overnight. It's pretty cool. I imagine Oompa Loompa's.

Our interstates are maintained as is. They are resurfaced and patched of cracks and potholes. States are largely responsible for maintenance. I am speaking more of expansion and growth projects to accommodate large population growth.

States should be able to receive grants to do this. The Biden administration also denied our city funds to construct a pedestrian only bridge.

There are some aspects where government involvement is essential, such as public safety (law enforcement, fire, hazmat, EMS, and corrections), access to common/public lands (roads, access to waterways, etc), and other essential functions. For example, my county wants to build community centers and expand feature-rich parks instead of addressing funding to fire and emergency services. I have a major issue with that and have even appeared before county commissioners with a pre-written speech.

Congress controls funding for national infrastructure. Biden was able to pass a large allocation for infrastructure improvement. Trump did his usual -- he played golf.

I am thinking of the Eisenhower Ingerstate System. A president can still facilitate and proactively advocate for action. When I hear Biden, it is about sociopolitical issues and how Trump-supporting Republicans are bad and it's "their fault".

I have just seen articles where the state complains they just don't have the funds. Our state is wanting to widen our interstates to 3 lanes throughout the state.

Highways designated as federal highways should be eligible for federal grants. Look at the Eisenhower Interstate System. At one point there was federal government funding for interstate highways.
