The Democratic Convention should be interesting. There's a growing feeling among Democrats that Kamala Harris may not be their best chance to win the election, and I wouldn't be surprised in the Convention nominated someone else.
It's a shame that all of the states' Democratic primaries have meant nothing, and that the Democratic candidate will most likely be picked in old-fashioned back-room politics. Certainly not the way democracy (which the Democrats claim they are the experts of) is supposed to work.

millions of people who voted for Biden have just had their votes taken away from them. If Democrsts really cared about democracy they would have a do over. Instead they will be trying to have President Trump killed.
Although as a general ideology progressive which now dominates the Democratic party really doesn't believe in anyone's ability much less right to think, speak, or act much less vote for themselfs.
As a result is quite flexible at the end of the day with efforts to rig the same vote in their favor.

Loyal Democratic party voters were sold the idea that Biden had the best chance of beating Trump, so they voted for Biden in the primary and he won. The Democratic leadership secretly knew that he was mentally unfit. They waited until the last minute to pull a switcheroo. Now it won't be the electorate picking the candidate, it will be state delegates.
State delegates are all insiders. So the DNC will essentially bypass democracy and choose the Democratic candidate it wanted all along.
Think about the 2020 primaries. Biden and Harris washed out. They didn't have popular support. But somehow the DNC was able to make Biden the nominee.
Think about the 2016. primaries. Bernie was. by far the leading candidate. People loathed Hillary. But Hillary was the heir apparent. She was going to be Queen of the World. So the DNC managed to appoint her.

Probably much worse than that. My theory for years has been that both parties play 'good cop, bad cop' and actually work together while pretending not to. Although how fast the country moves towards destruction seems to slow some when conservatives are in power but it's all going to end up in the same place sooner than people think.

Are we not a republic? That is the whole point of the political convention is to pick someone and the dnc is here pretty soon to officially put someone on the ballot. It's no different if joe was running again.

I agree with abortion in cases or rape and incest. Laughably your morality and that of the government is largely derived from the ten commandments. While this current state of morality is still in place, once we move forward in time it will be broken down and replaced, perhaps something like the Nazi version of morality. But of you are right and there is not god then it really doesn’t matter if they kill in large numbers for people that they thunk less of for one reason or another. It sounds like a world I wouldn’t want to live in and humans have made such worlds in the past and recent past and perhaps even today still.
