Why don’t I have a credit history?

Been using my credit card for over 3 years now mostly on gas. How come I still don’t have a credit history?

Get a copy of your credit report, Discover might be able to help you if you don't have ready access to it. You can sign up for Credit Karma and get TransUnion and Equifax credit reports for free.

Is this a card account in your own name, or is it a card issued to you off of someone else's account?

It’s in my name and it shows on my credit report. So why are they saying I don’t have a credit history?

That’s puzzling. I have no idea then. You might try giving Discover a call and see if they’re reporting your payment information and history to credit bureaus, and if not why not. Your bank might also be able to help figure it out. That’s all I can suggest. It sounds strange to me.

Is it in your name or are you an authorized user? It makes a difference.

Also they may just mean that you've never had a loan.
