How come the "Trump lies all the time" crowd seems to trust him whenever he says something leftards can twist as negative about him?

Its awfully suspicious how much trust they give a guy they claim to lie all the time / be a pathological liar / lies every other sentence or other similar argumements about how much he supposedly lies. If he lies as much as they claim, then it would mean they can’t trust anything he says they can use to smear him with either.
If you can’t trust him because he is a liar, then you can’t trust anything he says leftards use to craptalk him either.

I believe America was already great and he did nothing to improve it. For example, unemployment was bordering all time lows before he was in office and drastically increased while he was in office (granted, COVID), improved when he left and is now back to all time lows. If you look at the data, you can say similar things about economic performance measured by the stock market, energy and oil production, even immigration.
