I’m leaning towards RFK Jr. But either way, I won’t be discussing whom I finally decide to vote for with anyone but my fiancé. I was always taught that voting is an intensely private thing, and that it's not something to be taken lightly or discussed in public. My mom always told me there's a reason they put a curtain on the voting booth. And that is because who we vote for is nobody else's business. I can't wait until the pendulum swings the other way and voting/politics goes back to being ((like religion)) something we don't discuss in polite company.
It's private for those who opt for privacy. But many people do not. That's an individual choice.
I think it is the duty of Americans to learn all they can about political candidates and issues and a noble endeavor to discuss it with others and share your views. I think that's part of the foundation of any democracy.
I agree with both of those posts. 👏, However, the political climate has just become SO toxic, most discussions I see on politics, especially online devolve into argument, vitriol, and even violence! Given the events, I endured following Oct. 7™ of last year, I really don’t need any more threats over other people’s political views. So I just take my mom’s advice and try to avoid political discussions altogether, and if I do decide to chime in, I never say with any commitment whom I will actually vote for. It’s just not worth the grief. Besides, most people are firmly on “their side” already! They will never change their mind, and just want to convince other people to switch “sides”. I’m a legit independent, and I’ll truly make up my mind on the day, when I get in the voting booth.
I read a lot, so I research both “sides” as well as the independents. I mean do I honestly strike you as the type of woman who does NOT research 🧐? Whenever anyone tries to tell me why I need to vote to their “side", I just reply with "Oh, okay I didn't think of it that way, thanks”! Like I said, it’s just not worth the BS one has to endure if one's thoughts and ideas do not line up with theirs! Politics is not supposed to be a “team sport”🥇, it’s supposed to be a contest of ideas. So I say let the best ideas win! But I both appreciate and respect your opinion on the matter, and I truly thank you for sharing it with me. 😘 💋
I can't see anything in your comment that I don't respect or that I disagree with.
And in no way do you strike me as the type of woman who does not do her research.
Everyone cannot be an expert in everything (nor wants to be) and I can certainly understand why, especially in this contentious political environment, some choose to tune out. But nonetheless, I think it is important for every citizen to do what they are able to understand the candidates and the issues so they can make an informed choice. I know you agree.
Politics has been called "War without violence." Add to that the violent eruptions, from riots to assassination attempts from the "Summer of Love" in 2020 until now and yes, it is an intimidating political environment and I cannot blame those who choose to stay away from politics altogether. Let's hope the differences can be settled much more peacefully in the years ahead.
Ditto, there is nothing you wrote that I don't respect or that I disagree with. I would say, that I understand the issues, the candidates, and their published stance on said issues, as well as their actions on those issues, which is often quite different to their stated platform. I pride myself of use of original source material, meaning rather than allow the media to tell me what a politician said, or frustratingly have the media tell me what they MEANT! I will go to the source of the stump speech, rally, or fundraiser and watch for myself to glean the context on my own. But yes, everyone, not just every American, (as the media do the same thing overseas), should be as informed as humanly possible long before voting. Thanks for the lovely reply.
@Dongie Oh hell no! I could write a five thousand word essay about it in 15 minutes if you like 👍 I’m a masters level student, I practically live for writing essays at ≈ 100 wpm! But thanks for asking. It’s always nice to be reassured that someone REALLY cares about a conversation they have no part in.
Most sincerely, Laura.
I’m not American but maga man has my best wishes. 🫢
Firrst remind me how many votes did kamala get in 2024 primary?
ZIP
ZERO
NADA
The Democrats overturned the vote of their own constituents when they overturned the Democratic primary election, led a coup against the voter's choice and replaced the choice of the voters with their hand-picked stealth candidate.
Putin would be proud of that move!
Can America survive 4 more years of biden economics?
I doubt it. But Kamalanomics would make Bidenomics looks like the work of Rhodes Scholars.
She has the most radical far left economic policies that have ever threatened the nation. She is left of Bernie Sanders if that gives you some sense of what I'm talking about.

The one that isn't a piece of shit.
I knew you would come around to President Trump!
Welcome to the light! 👍
I am voting for President Trump.
👍
...
I'll be voting for missing option #3, Heal the Divide, RFK Jr.
Heal? Democrats expelled him and hurt him try to keep him off ballot. Callled him tin foil hat you can't make peace with democrats.
@strateguy632 He's not trying to heal the division with party establishment, but average everyday voters like myself self.
I think the guy has a few good points and is also a wacko. I don't disagree with everything he proposes but some of the things are so bizarre that I couldn't support him because something seems off in his brain.
It's also a wasted vote.
He's not a wacko, MSM and the Uni-party establishment wants everyone to think he's wacko as he's a threat to them being a successful lawyer against corporate and government corruption. I've done my research, he's a better candidate than Trump and Harris, and the only who will actually end the failed Ukraine proxy war. Something off with his brain? I think you got him mixed up with Joe Biden.
Vote for Kennedy will not be a wasted vote, he's on track to be on the ballot in every state, and a majority of voters want someone other than Trump and Harris, and Kennedy is that alternative.

No, he is a wacko. I'm not making that judgement based on reporting about him by others. I'm basing it on things I have watched him talk about myself.
Honest question, what has he said that makes him a wacko? Just curious, were the videos you watched, full length videos or the edited clips everyone is posting on social media that makes it look like Kennedy says something different than he actually did? Not trying to be rude, just genuinely curiou as I've encountered people who's opinion of Kennedy changed after watching the whole video and not edited clips.
Here is a list of some of his beliefs that have been criticized. I first want to say that I don't disagree with everything on this list that he believes. I think he is founded in some of these beliefs and that there is reasonable amount of evidence that they are accurate.
But others are just wacko in my view and too wacko to consider him a viable candidate.
And yes I have seen more than just out of context clips about many of these including interviews and full context comments.
But even if I liked the guy the best, I would not vote for him. I think America is on life support with the current presidential administration. This is a life and death election for America and I believe that only one candidate has any chance of keeping the country alive.
So I'm not going to waste my vote on someone who isn't going to be elected.
Thank you for your civil comments.
I'm not ashamed to use his name. DJT 2024🇺🇲🇺🇲
