This woman (Ayanna Pressley) explains in part, what it would do, and what part of the plan is. I admit I found out about it in an ad, asking for people interested in participating and belong to it. I did not ask any questions here about it, or mention it because I didn't want people here to pay it any attention (because of many of the members here), but it looks as though it is already an open subject, even though it's been here waiting for someone to lead it, since the 80's.

1 yYes I do... it's the Republican manifest for turning the USA into an authoritarian state and further dumbing down the populace. If this is the part they're willing to let you see, imagine what they're planning in secret.

@Dargil No politician is mentioned by name in it, but your hero supports it. It's not theory, it's being practiced in red states with super majorities. Truth is, it's the ONLY platform the GOP has at this time and if you actually LISTEN to their candidates, especially on the state and local levels, you'll see that it's fully in play.

The country is in bad shape economy wise. Biden talks about job growth. It is true that there has been some job growth but a full 2/3 of the jobs that Biden created are jobs with the government. These jobs do not create wealth. They do the opposite.
Project 2025 will enforce Title VII and prohibit racial qualifications and quotas. It will also do away with DEI classifications. This will create a meritocracy where industry will get the best America has to offer and be in a better position to compete with other countries.

Still can't read a chart, can you Exit? You spread more misinformation than an OAN convention - I think that's the embarrassing part. You're a fact-less sciolist.

@loveslongnails I do not know where the chart came from. it is probably BS. Why not check out the facts.
static.project2025.org/...eadership_CHAPTER-18.pdf - 1 y
Oh wow, can you read or did you get that from Fox? The problem with that chapter is that there IS NO DEI "revolution". It amounts for a small percentage on the charts of corporate or firm hires, which of course you don't know because a) you're not job hunting and b) you get your info from right-wing talking point pundits.
The "Project" is 792 pages long, and sure, there are areas of Government that need fixing. However, the overall GOAL is to dismantle Democracy as a whole and turn the USA into an even MORE dumbed down country with a populace more easily control by an authoritarian regime. The fact that you and the cult either refuse, or can not understand that, is what's most disturbing and problematic.
You, and most maga's, appear to be 100% clueless as to who is available in the job market, where they come from, and the skills that are being sought, and their racial backgrounds. Here's some info for you::

@loveslongnails Project 2025 wants to take education out of the hands of the teachers union which is dumbing down the curriculum and removing accountability and giving the choice to the parents.
- 1 y
Man, you're brainwashed. ACCOUNTABILITY? To what --- the truth? Are you THAT uninformed?
Do you have ANY idea who controlled the curriculum in public schools since the late 1800's, and what was being taught? Do you have ANY idea who decided what went into the textbooks, and how much real history was being taught? Who was behind the funding? Who decided on the content? No, you don't.
Teaching REAL American history was a problem that had to be controlled via the public education system, and it was. Math, science, reading - that's all straightforward. That's not where the brainwashing and lies took hold. So that part of the curriculum was ALWAYS tainted.
Try thinking for a minute - what does the average parent know about a school curriculum? Very little. When will they have time to un-brainwash themselves about history and learn the truths for themselves first? What about the other fields? What does the average know about HOW best to teach kids math, science, geography, language, writing, reading, etc?
Teachers and the teachers union do NOT want dumbed down kids - so, ask yourself who DOES want a dumb populace. Ask yourself that before you again start regurgitating talking points you don't understand. - 1 y
@loveslongnails before covid a lot of states had standardized tests that showed an expectation of skills that gradating seniors had to have before graduating,. After the 2 years of shutdowns and on line learning , student scores plummeted so the teachers unions want the tests to not be a requirement for graduation or to be eliminated altogether. this eliminates accountability
- 1 y
Sorry exit, but based on your past performance in the area of education, this is far too complex an issue for me to delve into with you and your snippets. I have a degree in Elementary Education and have been involved with standardized testing for years; the good, the bad and the ugly part of it.
I remind you that YOUR party and idiot leaders are the ones PUSHING for home schooling, or privatizing schooling with public money, where there will also be no requirements for testing. P-2025 is simply interested in breaking the Teacher's Union, not in Education and CERTAINLY not in historical truth. I back that up by their endorsement of Prager U and their revisionist curriculum.
It's YOUR party who thinks that the average parent has the time, knowledge, RESOURCES and expertise of technique to home school and live off a single income! It's a silly concept that can not possibly work in the US. - 1 y
@loveslongnails I worked as Technology Director in a K-12 school system. I was there when the standardized tests were first introduced. The teachers union tried to sue but they lost. They fought it until the end Afterwards it was shown that student competency improved.
After Covid it was shown that remote learning was a joke and test scores went down drastically. Instead of trying to come up with a solution to the problem the teachers union simply wanted to eliminate the test or at least make it not a requirement to graduate. - 1 y
That's because the School Administration wanted to tie THEIR performance STRICTLY to the results of the tests, which was not a valid measurement. So, they did what Republicans do - they went to one extreme which was to eliminate them. I don't agree with that, but your party's push to home school will ONLY exacerbate poor performance by ANY metric. There's also the entire issue of non-socialization. But per usual, they offer no real SOLUTION. So far, following the curriculum of Prager U. would be a disgrace to intelligent minds everywhere.
