"Trump has been a proponent..." No he hasn't; he has nothing to do with it. Project 2025 is a wishlist by the Heritage Foundation, just one of hundreds of think tanks who do that sort of thing every election cycle. The only reason anyone is even talking about it is because the Democrats tried to run on abortion as a front and center topic, something that the Heritage Foundation has been adamantly in favor of banning in full - which coincidentally, is something that neither Trump or Vance support at the federal level. If the foundation had a guy in the race, it was Ron DeSantis, though he had so many other strings attached that it's unlikely he would've been all that dependable anyway and beholden to his big donors.
