My entire youth I had to hear about how Millenials were going to be the end of humanity so to me this is the most ridiculous and pointless thing in the world. I hope my generation won't pick pointless fights with kids when we get old.

It seems like this is just for people who are lonely and have lost their purpose to feel like they matter again. And sadly the Boomers are the largest generation so Millenials got the most hate. I really hope we can break this cycle of anger, or whatever this is, in the future.

Young people have enough shit to deal with and I can tell you from experience that it's not fun to try and figure out your life while seeing random people shit on you in the media for no reason.

And it's funny cause they're calling Gen Z sensitive while making tik toks because they got angry over something a young tik toker said.

Many humans don’t make an effort to understand new generations. This has been going for millennia. If you read Aristophanes’ Wasps, you can see the permanence of this conflict between generations. The world is changing very fast, even at a faster rate than before. And all generations are the result of the environment they live in. So it is pointless to argue with other generations. All generations have their specific struggles. The problem is when older generations don’t understand the struggles gen Z (middle class) face:

- inflation, high cost of living, high housing prices, high tuition fees in some countries, higher consumerism (basically, your money value less and your savings lose their value because of inflation, it is harder to pay rent and more unaffordable to move away from your parents), increased school debt coupled with degree ‘inflation’, inaccesible job market for young people and experience paradox, more products and services which set a new standard which people feel a pressure to meet, otherwise they feel frustrated

- news and social media and very different opinions from very different places which make people confused about the life trajectory which they should take. Unrealistic expectations set by figures like Andrew Tate and Justin Waller who demoralize young men so that they feel bad about themselves that they are not rich and that they don’t have sex with lots of women. And therefore many young men think they have to become financially successful but they have no real possibilities to do that. They start to hate education and “normal” 9 to 5 lifestyle while trying to make unsustainable businesses. Which gives birth to a lot of incels who have unrealistic expectations about their potential to be rich, who resent women because they don’t want to sleep with them, but also

resent women who sleep with them and slut shame them. Women who are confused what to choose between having the traditional gender role being a housewife for a rich successful man or being independent, with their own careers), which led to the I’m looking for a man in finance: lots of single women who rationally want gender equality but biologically they want gender difference so they are not satisfied with any men; also women who are tempted by sexual liberalism and freedom but also having chastity ingrained in their minds; internet polarization between men and women, between people of different ethnicities and religious views => arguments, a lack of face to face socialization because of social media

-the effects of the COVID-19 isolation on mental health

-hyperawareness in general
