How do you feel about generational stereotypes?

I don't even know what generations or what stereotypes would be around them are so shrugs. Apart from the concept of "Ok Boomer."
If were just talking old age stereotype for me it's the more older they will be more likely they are to be Conservative, racist, religious, etc but I'm more sure that's just a fact than a stereotype pretty sure.
Then as for views on stereotypes overall, there alright longs if measured and based on truth of a portion but of course many haven't been and many are made to just be excuses to hate.
Though I think a stereotype more measured tbf would more come across just explaining different subcultures alas subcultures are quite literally made out of stereotypes to exist in the first place.
@zagor yes but that's just ignoring the plenty many of people who were/are racist, homophobic, sexist that those laws needed to be changed in them years in the first place. If everyone from back then was not racist, homophobic, sexist such laws wouldn't of existed anyway. Plenty of people pushed back the ideals for those rights and no doubt they were the older than the younger.
Most stereotypes exist and persist because they are true IN SOME INSTANCES, but not ALL instances.
I think they are unfair but they hold more truths than other sterotypes, because the sterotypes for each generation is brainwashed into their heads by the mentality that society believed while they were kids growing up.
They're generalizations. They hold true in some cases, but very much not in others.
However, it is valuable to understand how different demographics generally think.

I don't like them and it's for the some reason I hate stereotypes in general. Some people act as if it's perfectly ok for them to stereotype others but the moment you stereotype them, its suddenly a huge issue. So it comes right back to the idea of treat people the way you want to be treated. If you don't want someone stereotyping you, don't stereotype others.
I just don't care for them one bit... so they're not really a part of my actual life
and I do not tend to think on those terms either while navigating online through the seas of G@G, all stereotypes of any kind, I just try to avoid them
I rather get to know people personally and see them individually for who they/how they really are...
Stereotypes exist because the group in question keeps reinforcing them and because a bad apple spoils the bunch. Muhhamed Ali had a good analogy for this.
Most stereotypes have a basis in facts. Every generation pales to The Greatest Generation, which survived the Depression and WW2. The Boomers (Woodstock Generation) are largely at fault for today's mess by their own ideologies and the children they raised.
To be perfectly honest I give Teens to Twenty Somethings a certain Latitude in regards to free speech and attitudes afterall. I have my own teenage Sons and daughters. I couldn't ever judge being a Ruler. I can only judge by what the Feurl has chosen
Pity those same teens to twenty-somethings don’t share your same opinion on free speech and one’s attitude.
They're natural. Society seems to run in overlapping cycles. You watch TV or read stuff from years ago and the older people are saying all the same shit
They just group it to say "in general" most are like this, but ofcourse there are always those who fall outside the "norm" of the group.
im sure they can be but whenever i meet someone from one of any generation and they totally fall in with the stereotype... i kinda grown a bit lol. like 'whyyyy do you have to be exactly like your generation says your are.'
groan*
It’s up to people to prove them wrong over and over until no longer believed.
Every generation thinks the next generation is worse forgetting their own past and this has been going on for centuries ('in my day'). If it was really regressing it'd be anarchy by now.
Stereotypes are unhelpful we've got to realize we're in this together
It’s reasonable in that it’s probably true for the average. But that means not all are the stereotype, thus it’s wrong.
Differences between generations are an important issue.
I'm sensible enough not to give them much thought.
I don’t like stereotypes of any kind
There are idiots from every generation.
They could be unreasonable really hard to say
I think they are unfair.
Muslim terrorists? Perfectly fine.
Totally unreasonable according to me.
They are all based in some general truth.
idc bout them
