Do you believe stereotypes are true or are you tired of them?

These are some stereotypes (of the Latina woman) I don't fit:
- Great dancer and likes Salsa
I suck at dancing (always did) and prefer heavy metal and English songs

- Fiery personality, loud and hot-tempered
I hate drama. What's so attractive about being antagonistic and verbally abusive? I see nothing cute about that.

- Likes a large families and pops kids like crazy
I'm still childless at age 35. I'm working on the issue though but honestly one child is good enough.

- Can be insanely jealous and will fight with the other woman
What's the point of a relationship without trust? If the man is bad enough to cheat then perhaps he and the other woman deserve each other. There is the exit door. Bye

Sometimes I wonder if there is really some truth to them or not. Do you ever get tired of them?

I find the last one worth laughing. If he's cheating, why would I even want to fight over it? There is nothing to be saved there. There is nothing to be worked out. He's already saying ''I don't care about you nor our relationship''.

That is why the word all is not to be used when talking about people, but you sound like a wonderful woman to be with no matter what your race is we are human beings not robots, so we don't act the same

I was referring to the last one on my list for the stereotype of the Latina. In regards to the last one on your list about girls in general not doing certain things just for the reason of being a girl, sounds like they're making excuses.

I guess so. It probably depends on the person and other factors. Sometimes I wonder if I would've turned out differently and probably fit the stereotype a bit more or probably had kids by now if I've been born and raised in my native country instead of being born elsewhere but raised in the US since age 4.

That is true but stereotypes can be propagated through media exposure too. Brainy guys are always portrayed as nerdy for example.

Not really. My mistake was getting back with my first boyfriend (thinking he had changed) at the age of 29. He drained another 5 years out of me. He lied about wanting kids and marriage; faking a future. I got scammed.
I'm currently nearly 6 months into my 2nd relationship and we want at least one child. My parents and I are trying to expediate the process. That's what I meant when I said I'm working on that issue.
