Can't Israel annihilate Iran in just a jiffy?

I don't know if you've been following the recent news about what is going on in the Middle East or not, but the Israelis carried out an assassination plot, almost two weeks ago, against a Hezbollah military leader in Beirut, and also against a major Hamas leader, Esmaeil Haniye, in Tehran who was there to celebrate the inauguration of the new Iranian President. Iran has vowed revenge, because Israel has clearly violated the international law and orchestrated an act of terror inside the Iranian borders, right in the capital city. The US and Mossad have gathered intelligence about the recent military movements and deployments inside Iran and other parts of the region which shows the Iranians and their allies are preparing for a large-scale attack. While there is no information on the actual scale and the timing of the attacks, the US, some European countries and some Arab states in the region who seem to be supportive of Israel are preparing an unprecedented defensive circle to foil the upcoming missile and drone attacks, that are supposed to be launched from several fronts.

Iranians claim this attack will inflict such heavy damage on Israel that they will be forced to agree to a deal under terms offered by the resistance, and end the war in Gaza in disgrace. But if the Israelis make any stupid mistake to go another step further towards a counter-attack, Iranians have announced, they are not afraid of an all-out war, that might severely entangle the US army and other countries in the region, and greatly impact the world by driving up the oil price. Let's see what happens.

But this is the question. Why wouldn't Israel act on its own, and why would they need such huge military assistance from its allies, if they could just (at least that's what some Israel's supporters claim) annihilate Iran in a jiffy? Opinions about other aspects of this topic are also welcome.

Israel couldn't annihilate Iran unless it used its illegal, undeclared nukes. Even the U. S. couldn't annihilate Iran unless it used nukes.

Iran is huge and has sophisticated weaponry. Plus, Russia and China wouldn't just stand by and watch Iran being attacked by the U. S.

Israel is a pipsqueak. It talks shit. It was unable to defeat Hezbollah and it hasn't even defeated Hamas. All it is good at is slaughtering unarmed civilians.

The only reason it thinks it can commit illegal act of war, like assassinating political leaders and continually firing missiles into Syria is because it has the U. S. to back it up. It thinks it is immune to international law.

Iran's military forces are made up of approximately 610,000 active-duty personnel plus 350,000 reserve and trained personnel that can be mobilized when needed, bringing the country's military manpower to about 960,000 total personnel. These numbers do not include Law Enforcement Command or Basij.

Israel's military forces are made up of approximately 169,500 active-duty personnel plus, supposedly 465,000 reserves.

Israel would have to pass through Syria or Jordan and then Iraq to invade to Iran. That means it would have to fight Iraq, as well.

On the other hand, I suspect that Iraq and certainly Syria would give Iran a green light to pass through their countries to attack Israel.

If Israel thinks it would annihilate Iran with missiles (other than nukes), it's insane. And Iran already proved that it could overcome Israel's missile defense systems. Geographically, which country would be easier to annihilate?

Of course, Israel does have the Sampson policy of committing suicide in an all out nuclear war. Its leaders are completely insane.

Of course Israel can defeat Iran. In a jiffy? Depends what you mean by that. Israel does not want a full scale war with Iran. Neither does Iran if they know what's good for them. So now they're in a faceoff to try to preserve dignity without sacrificing all. Of course Israel wins. But the losses are to high foe everyone in a full scale war. Which is why no one with a brain wants it.

Usa war on terror was a big flop in the end. Unless the entire globe agrees on a legitimate end goal like killing nazis war is ultimately a nonviable solution to a problem.

There are remarks all over the media, that Iraninans might be only two weeks away from producing nuclear weapons, if not have some by now.

Iran thinks Israel should belong to the Palesitinians. If they nuke Israel, the fallout would effect if not kill many Palestinians.

Yes, that's true. Iranians will never use the weapon at all even if they have it. I strongly believe that Israelis are somehow in the same conditions as well. The scale of damage that nuclear weapons cause will definitely give a real shake to the people's minds from all around the world and turn the public opinion against Israelis. They are already under severe pressure from many international huminitarian organizations for the crimes they've committed in Gaza. Any nuclear attack can also work as a wake up call for the world leaders, and the leaders of Middle East countries and might accelerate the destruction of Israel. These are are all reasons that make Israelis unwilling to use the nuclear weapons!!
