Typical Trump bullshit. He has no plans for any of this. Also the POTUS has little control over prices. Auto insurance is regulated by the states. Housing prices are set by supply and demand. The only way to have lower housing prices is for the government to either build a lot of homes, or to lower the cost for private developers to build housing. This would require federal legislation to eliminate the rights of cities to set building standards and enforce zoning restrictions. Neither is going to happen.

No the way to make housing more affordable is to bring down interest rates. That is what Trump was talking about. To do that you have to bring down inflation. To bring down inflation you have to make energy less expensive. to do that you haveto increase production od domestic oil. Basically to perform this miracle he does everything Biden did only in reverse

Lowering interest rates isn't going to make a huge difference and opening new oil leases won't change the price of oil much or soon.

When Biden got into office interest rates were between 2 and 3 percent. Now it is 7 or 8 percent. This makes a mortgage payment at least twice as expensive. That is why young people cannot afford to buy a house. ,
It will take a few months before investors get comfortable with the idea of drilling for oil but once it starts that the crude oild goes through the refineries the price of gas will go down. There was a lot of damage done by the Biden/Harris administration and it will take time to fix.
