For the first time ever, I am eating at a restaurant in my hometown and I am the minority in the room. As long as I remember, my town has been majority white. Like what the hell happened? It just started to get worse over the past couple years.

I am engaged now. No, I am not racist. I tend to resent environments that lack class and peace. It wouldn't matter if it is methhead trailer city or the thuggy ghetto. Both environments encroaching on nicer, middle class family suburbs is concerning.

You have to realize too, there is a lot of black people and other persons of different races and ethnicities that do not have a very nice opinion of white people either.

That was basically my childhood. We had a nice military friendly neighborhood until eventually gangs started taking over in my teens then terrible neighbors in my late teens. It had nothing to do with race though. It came from all kinds of races, including whites. I don't automatically assume that a race is going to be inherently good or bad based on their race alone and your comments just scream that you do. That makes you racist.

I can tell you what happens. Usually the wholesome middle class families (usually white but can be diverse too) reside in the outer bands of bustling urban areas and away from ghetto-like environments. But as populations become larger, they spread out like a virus, pushing the upper middle class further away from the epicenter. Eventually, because growth occurs so quickly, there are hardly any places to go unless living in the rural sticks is an option.
