Maybe they just thought that your reaction to disagreeing with their opinion was really rude and uncalled for! We (as a society) used to reserve the word “racist” for the most vile behavior imaginable. Now it’s nothing more than a hollow toothless retort reserved for anyone the Left disagrees with.

For the record, I’m not a Republican, I’m not on the right, and I disagree with most of what the right stand for.
However…
I’m not a Democrat either, I’m not on the left, and I disagree with most of what the left stands for.
I’m a centrist, I agree with some Republican party ideas, and I agree with some of the Democrat party’s ideas. I feel that limiting one's self to one set of ideas laid out by a DC think tank is too small minded for my taste.

P. S. Being silent isn’t compliant, they just don’t want personal politics to enter their field because it will alienate their audience for one. For two, they might feel unsettled by the news OR your comment brings political discussion that they don’t want on their platform so they block you so the discussion that goes against their own personal rules doesn’t happen.
