Why don't they communicate her achievements and progress? What I hear from the left makes no sense, including denial there is a problem.. when my city is screaming "this is a huge problem... because of the cost/space issues". Obviously it's a political football, has been for decades. Her and her team have been terrible communicators in regards to this issue. Granted, her team had a lot of turnover, so maybe that's why.

The problem isn't LEGAL immigration. The problem is ILLEGAL immigration. Most politicians, especially Democrats, are happy to blur the lines and gaslight people into believing otherwise. Democrats will have you believe that it's "racist" to be against illegal immigration. Meanwhile, how is being soft on illegal immigration fair to people who immigrated here legally? Democrats are also not above cannibalizing their own when it comes to pushing their illegal immigration agenda. The Democrat mayor of New York City, Eric Adams, criticized Joe Biden and his administration’s handling of the southern border and illegal immigrants during the summer of 2023. A few days later, his campaign manager's office was raided, and a woman crawled out of the woodwork and accused Adams of sexually assaulting her back in 1993. Coincidences? Yeah, right.

If you really want to know what's going on with the illegal immigration issue (and other local and city area issues) in New York City and other cities around the country, I suggest going on YouTube and watching broadcast videos from LOCAL news affiliates, like the one I posted from WABC News Channel 7 New York City. The national news outlets and broadcasts have a habit of either cherrypicking the stories they want to highlight from their local affiliates, and burying the stories they don't want the national public focusing on, because they don't match the mainstream media's liberal agenda.

My guess is that the mayor and the city council counted on that neighborhood to be passive, and it blew up in their faces. Also, the city is over 80% registered Democrats, so I highly doubt they'll change their voting ways. The vast majority of liberals are unable to learn from their mistakes.
