the manager of my local pub , she's not qualified for the job (was only ever a server with limited college education ) and now somehow the manager.

she's just evil and doesn't even do a good job , her social media skills suck despite taking a course in advertising at college. she doesn't seem to know what female customers want despite being one and now less and less women even go there than ever before.

all she cares about is the money $ , she'll even send other servers home early so she can make more tips once there gone

i know and whats most bizarre is she did a terrible job last summer too but got brought back this summer despite fact all her bar nights sucked and weren't even well attended

its like no one else wanted the job or owner intentionally wanted someone like her in that position for unknown reasons

she also gets drunk on the job , seen her do free shots of tequila with the other staff at night , the owner seems to allow them to do the odd free shot when there , but some nights seen her do more than 1

i've been trying to get her out of there or at least offer up some helpful ideas to improve place but they don't really listen to me

i had to almost embarrass them into bringing live music back after they didn't have any from Sep > Dec of last year and place dead all fall into winter

the other servers i've talked to there all agreed with me that there should be other reasons for people to go there at night but she won't do anything. the place doesn't even have a trivia night or wing night or anything , doesn't even promote major sporting events on TV

I don't think the place where you work will last long. It's better to change the job and go at some place better instead of being there if nothing changes. I feel bad for you buddy

i don't work there went there after work a lot but i don't work at that spot anymore so might not go in much in the fall anyways it obviously won't be busy as its like a summer time hot spot but dead rest of year

there is also going to be like no staff there fall or winter as like all the girls who are there now and high school or college students and going back to school. there hasn't been any hiring of year round staff to fill the vacancies. and some of the normal year round staff can't come in either as one just had a kid , another is going on a trip and a couple others are trying to start new careers in real estate oddly enough

an update from the weekend , it rained Friday so not that busy but satuday really nice and bar night still flopped miserably

she didn't post anything on social media advertising that bar was open for long weekend , she didn't book any live music or plan any sort of special event for the last weekend of summer

then when its sudden not busy and way quieter than expected she acts surprised and got upset when i made a comment that as manager she needs to except some responsibility for this and fact bar isn't busy when it should be busy.

she also sent 6 of the 9 bartenders ( young attractive popular girls ) home by 12 pm it was that slow, night a complete failure and now its fall so bar will be really slow for a while
