It you were made her “Price Gouging Czar”. How would you go about lowering prices? As she has promised on day one.

I would go out of my way to completely screw up the country and then deny ever having that position no matter how much of a paper trail there is to prove it. If anyone questions me, I'll tell them that I'm a reflection of my boss's leadership and going by her example.

Even if I took the position seriously and did basically the same thing OlderAndWiser suggested, these jobs are smoke in mirrors and wouldn't actually have the broad authority to do that. What they want is someone to make the rounds on corporate media and promote communist policies and convince the public that every stupid thing your bosses are doing is actually a good thing, and everyone who dares question you is an idiot because you are the "expert."

Break down every monopoly. Every kroger is broken up to it's own Individual store brands and make wal mart follow suit to similar break down. There is like every republican state the number one employer is Walmart while other states have university's.

This kroger and Safeway merger going on right now is a big deal.

It's not possible to lower prices below their market level except by a government subsidy at some point in the supply chain. If the government sets a price cap below the market price, demand will exceed supply and there will be shortages and a black market will arise.

I would start drilling for oil on day 1. Start producing energy and making it so plentiful gas would be under 2 bucks a gallon. Soon prices of everything else would go down.

Because companies and corporations are charging too much for their products. Something she is calling price gouging. Or gauging as she called it. So she will somehow control their prices or profits to lower the price of goods.
